U.S. Maternal Death Rate Now Highest In The Western World, Thanks To GOP War On Women

Worldwide, fewer and fewer women are dying during pregnancy or from complications related to childbirth. In fact, women living almost anywhere in the developed world are safer today, than they were in the year 2000. Here in the United States, however, women are twice as likely to die during or after pregnancy, than they were 15 years ago. Thanks to the regressive party, otherwise known as the GOP, the United States is moving backwards, not forwards, when it comes to women’s health.

According to the latest State of the World’s Mothers report, released in May, 2015, the U.S. has the highest rate of maternal death in any western nation. Women in the U.S. are ten times more likely to die from pregnancy as women living in Poland or Norway. Compared to women living in Belarus, the country with the lowest rate of maternal deaths, women in the U.S. are twenty times more likely to die before, during, or immediately after childbirth.

Somehow, the fact that women are choosing to have babies and give birth, but die during the birthing process is all the fault of anti-abortion people.

Every DUmmie blames the gop for restricting abortion. None consider the fact that liberal beliefs are causing more women to put off having babies later in life when the risk is much greater.

Like other past studies involving newborn births, this is vastly flawed, but it still doesn't give any reason for blaming prolife believers.

They'd blame Pro-Life people for Global Warming and the extinction of the dinosaurs if some one would just feed them the necessary pretzellated factoids and logic.

Claims that the US has a far higher infant mortality rate than in EuroLand countries turned out to be different definitions of a "live birth" between the US and those EuroLand countries. EuroLanders' definitions of a live birth excluded many low-survival rate preemies that the US recognized as live births. GIGO! I'm sure that there is some sort of similar GIGO Gotcha in the data underlying this "report".
