Self talk has a lot to do with our daily outlook.
Jesus said "Pick up your cross (daily), and follow me.
I believe by that he meant to discipline yourself and your mind with a routine that will program both.
If you don't program your mind, society will do it for you.
and you won't be happy with the results.
We are designed for success, but programmed for failure if we rely on society.
Hi 5 and well said. There are many people who have overcome great obstacles and been successful based off this. Victor Frankl being a prime example. The man was sent to Auschwitz and survived, and wrote his seminal book 'Man's Search for Meaning' based off his experiences there. The found a meaning for the pain.
Most of our professional victims ( like the majority of DU), haven't figured that out yet, and so, they make reasons why they aren't successful, most of them have a martyr complex going on as well.
I doubt the DUches will listen to me, or Mr. Frankl (he IS a Jew after all! /DUmode off) but one of the keys to a positive attitude is to look for the good. All these idiots see is the bad stuff, when there is a LOT they could be happy about.
When it comes down to it, they CHOSE to live this way. They CHOSE what they focused on. And they have no one to blame but themselves for their results. The truth, it burns, DUches.
