Call me cynical, but this incident is so bizarre it strikes me as one of those "dry runs" that terrorists often do to prepare for the "main event." You can bet the next time a Muslim woman asks for an unopened can of soda (when it is SOP for everyone else to get an opened one) she will cause a diversion, a little fuss. I guess if you are an expert at inventing grievance you can project it into the most unlikely places.

The reason why flight attendants open the cans of soda is to control costs.

They have been doing that for decades, long before a possible slight to muzzies could ever have been conceived of.

I don't know of an occasion(if you ask nicely first) that any flight attendant wouldn't give you the whole can.

But that aside, the airlines would prefer to make 2 or 3 cups of soft drink out of every can they open.

I know one thing for certain if she took your advice she sure as hell wouldn't be allowed to ride on an airplane without a male escort like she does here in the states....much less have a twitter account to bitch about the flight attendant on...or a car to drive back to her house in when the flight was done.
