So, I put Wishadoo on hold. I knew I had to find help before I could relaunch, and I want to provide paid positions and not rely on volunteers.
Paid positions would mean she takes a cut so as to pay herself.

2. OGR, I was thinking of you the other day. I think many here are afraid of being scammed with
requests for help from people they don't know and can't verify. I'm sure I'm not the only one who appreciated your efforts to link people who need help with people who care.

If I had help, one of the ways Wishadoo could still be of service here at DU (and other communities) is to take away the fear that you're being scammed. As I said, due diligence is done first. Unlike sites like gofundme (which serve a great purpose, I'm not knocking them) which are starting to require your gofundme page be linked with a Facebook profile, I have worked with people over the years who needed to keep their "real" names shielded from the public; their request was valid, they're who they said they were, but they were victims of domestic abuse or were searching for a job and having their name online forever would have been embarrassing, etc.
I do the behind-the-scenes work, and that's one of the types of positions I need help with in order to move forward and expand. There are satellite, synergistic projects beyond Wishadoo which also can also be relaunched, and provide both paid and volunteer/internships, when I have a core team of help in place. Volunteers and interns can then supplement helping with this enterprise, but I need reliable help and paid positions are the only way for that to happen. (http://ourgood.org is the portal site)

3. hmm I almost never check wishadoo
I like to think that I care, going to volunteer work, like every week, this afternoon. Recently signed up to work at the homeless shelter. Spending time this weekend at Special Olympics and also at our fundraiser for a couple of days. I tend to be stingier with my money.
I'm not sure the world needs more part time jobs, that usually means you can't make a living off of them and they give no benefits.
Community is tough. I am not sure how it is created or sustained.
Admittedly through the day I basically check FB and DU and places like that mostly for somebody to talk to.
No worries,she will pay herself at least 50 bucks an hour.

9. gofundme does not work unless you are a right wing bigot. I have been trying to get help to
correct a mistake I made but have exactly 3 DUers who replied. I am now in the process of trying to get a loan that I can pay off monthly. Otherwise my lights go off.
Have no idea if I would have gotten help on Wishadoo or not. But I would like to see something like that on DU.

The DU is so large now I missed this post: How do you feel about helping create jobs for members of this community?
I've helped several DUers over time. I think it is great your rebooting.
I'll try to help keep this kicked. I've been so busy the last few days I've missed a lot of stuff.
