ok. i see these posts every day. let's strike, let's have a revolution, let's shut it down...

and in every thread i try to ask "to what end?"

and i never get an answer.

i love the hate and the "screw with them" posts, but...

so perhaps tonight we can get an answer to the question...

ok. tonight we all strike (the most non-violent of all of our tasks) what does that accomplish?

???

ok, let's step it up a bit again. and if we riot?

???

and we take it up another notch. start placing heads on poles?

???

i love all of the "let's hit the streets" posts and the "let have a revolution" posts and all of the "let's overturn this government" posts...

w00t!

but to what ****ing end?

i get y'all want to overturn this thing. but what would be the government you would succeed this with? and your response is always a resounding "ummmm..."

i love how y'all never have an answer to that question. think, buds. it is an important question...

Most primitives seem surprised that someone would dare suggest action, rather than just words, and can't quite handle it.

5. Oh... there's suppose to be an end?

:dilemma: you mean like a result?

Well crap, guess we haven't thought that far ahead. But in the mean time..

CHARGE! STORM THE.. THE... THING! GET THE BAD GUYS! DRAG EM THROUGH THE STREETS! NAKED! er, um.. never mind scratch that last one, eeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

Seriously though

Aside from supporting people like Dennis Kucinich and tenaciously harassing our own congress critters to get off their lazy asses and get with him and continually encouraging those already supporting Dennis.

Personally I would like to see the truckers go on strike. I know things would get really shitty but as we've seen people won't do a damn thing until a serious hurt gets put on em.

Other than that I'm not sure. At the moment Dennis seems to be our best hope for the now.

7. heh. ok. i get it....

we should all just bitch here.

we are not actually looking to seek any kind of change...

we should all just bitch and complain and kvetch and moan...

heh.

works for me.

i get you guys now. i thought we were actually going to try to change things here.

**** me for getting that wrong....

10. for starters, roll back legislation that gives capital tax breaks for off-shoring jobs, privatizes the gov't & military, cuts taxes on billionaires, increases media concentration, revokes the fairness doctrine...i've got a long list.

on the positive side, marshall plan for energy independence & r&d, to revive economically distressed areas & human & material infrastructure.

plus prosecute bush & his minions for prosecuting war under false pretenses.

11. ok. but what does that have to do with my post about strikes and revolutions and all...

i see posts here everyday that we should have a general strike.

i see post here every day we should overturn the government.

i see posts here everyday that we should shut this economy down.

ok. cool. i am not opposed to that. fine.

my question, that no one here will address is when after we strike/shutdown/overturn this bad thing.

what then?

what is the plan then?

lots of support for killing that ****er. what exactly are your thoughts for the millions of us that will have to live in this post apocalypse world world you will have thrust upon us? how will we eat? how will we drink? how will our shit just magically disappear?

strike! take to the streets! shutdown the economy!

booya!

and then what?

the question that cannot and will not ever be answered here. because we don't answer those questions here. we just shout the emotional blather here.

and wait for some smart and smarmy poster to come into the thread with a popcorn icon. yeah, that's the answer...

12. i just told you. the legally constituted gov't isn't representing its constituents.

take one issue: the war, for example, which less than 30% supports.

strike & hold a referendum.

where you get bloodshed & apocalypse i have no idea. general strike has a long & not particularly violent history, & has never ended in apocalypse.

the bush admin has already done a good job dismantling the economy, with the worst still to come. a week or month of strike would do much less damage.

That's the whole bonfire for right now.  The casual primitive was up late at night.

It must have hurt to be owned that badly.  :hammer:    :lmao:

Oh my indeed Frank........they just can't get it through their tiny brains that their ideas are held by such a small number of people that , in our "representative republic" they don't now....or ever will....have the numbers to exert any impact on the "body politic" in this country.  Except for the occasional aberration like Dennis Kucinich, or Cynthia McKinney, they are essentially "unrepresented" in congress where it really matters.....fortunately for the rest of us.

They can complain, write letters, hold up signs, and march all day for the next ten years, and their collective impact on our governmental policies will be exactly.....ZERO.......

The really amusing part of this scenario is that they are so egotistical, and narcissistic that they are unable to take a rational look around themselves, and figure out that they are....all alone, politically......completely isolated, like a native village deep in the Amazon jungle.......they are there, but nobody cares.

Savage was right, their form of liberalism is truly a mental disorder......

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

Well I think Mr. Glock and his close friend Mr Remington may object to that. But hey, only one way to find out right?
