Ted Cruz: Democratic Party home to 'liberal fascism' against Christians

Waukee, Iowa (CNN)Sen. Ted Cruz argued Saturday that Democrats have become so extreme and "intolerant" of religious views that "there is no room for Christians in today's Democratic Party."

"There is a liberal fascism that is dedicated to going after believing Christians who follow the biblical teaching on marriage," the Texas Republican said in his speech before a Christian conservative audience in Waukee, Iowa.

Cruz joined eight other presidential candidates and potential contenders on stage at the Iowa Faith and Freedom summit, where speakers railed against what they see as threats to religious liberty. For his part, Cruz alluded to business that faced pushback for declining to cater to same-sex weddings....

Why is he saying "Democratic Party" ?
It's Democrat Party.

?? I normally use the term "Democratic" when referring to the party as a whole and Democrats as individuals of the party. Not so sure that it is such a crucial issue.  What is important is Cruz is accurate in his comment regarding liberalism and the party of liberals are intolerant of religious views and that "there is no room For Christians in today's Democratic Party".  The Democratic party seems to be leaning towards and following an anti-Christian movement.

The rejection of Israel by Obama and others and their disdain for Netanayhu is a classic example; not to mention the surge in gay marriage acceptance and Obama proclaiming a LGTB day, support of the Muslim mosque at ground zero, etc.

There is nothing democratic about the democrat party.
Cruz should know that.
