He's right about unions but in the wrong way. Unions limit the best and brightest workers to making no more than the laziest POS that management will put up with. That , OTOH also means that best and brightest often won't give 100%, and why should they? Nope, they'll do the bare minimum like the other dullards they work with.
Most of those guys just cut each other down. They don't see each other as equals. Each one of them wants to be the top dog. Each one thinks they are better than the next one.
It's called friendship and camaraderie, you should try it sometime.
