(sadly for some good reason) is to put it mildly. The turnout was doubled, and all that. To us at Reporting San Diego this is what mattered: And here is the confirmation from the St Louis Dispatch. The city more than doubled its voter turnout in the nationally watched election. About 29 percent of registered voters turned out, while the average there and around the region for April off-year elections is around 12 percent.http://reportingsandiego.com/2015/04/07/ferguson-municipal-elections-not-local-but-of-national-importance/ This gives me some hope, though elections are hardly the all in solution for the whole issue. They are hardly that. But they are part of the toolset.
nadinbrzezinski (135,570 posts) 2. So it doesand a year ago, ferguson WHAT? Now... I am learning more about how Ferguson is not that unusual. I have gotten an education. Tomorrow a nice presser to cover, unrelated, and go back to my research on rap and the legal system. It is not pretty.
