There is much disgust and consternation in the LGBT community over a viral fundraiser effort, that has as of this writing, earned $842,387. Many have lamented, "If only our cause could raise that much money that fast."

I say, yes, we can.

So I looked and saw that Cyndi Lauper's True Colors Fund has set April 29 as the first national #40toNoneDay to end #LGBT youth homelessness! And I thought, would it not be totally awesome if we equality supporters (and pizza lovers) could match that #MemoriesPizza "charity" by April 29? Can we match their amount and help homeless youth get off the street, learn life skills and get an education and jobs?

I'm an dreamer, but I say yes, we can!

All proceeds will go to The True Colors Fund which works to end homelessness among lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender youth

Well, they made it to $80 grand -- 1/10th of Memories Pizzaria.  The comments are comedy gold OTOH.

Libs talk a good game but never put much $ where their mouths are, other than rich ones who just use their money for control via bread and circuses.  Conservatives back their positions individually and independently.

There's more to helping people than handing them $$ - literally or metaphorically. The ones you want to help have to want to be helped and willing to do what it takes for them to benefit. I don't think many young homosexuals living on the streets and prostitutiing themselves (as some do) want to be helped (or have the mental capacity to be helped). I'm not being derisory, just pointing at an areaof reality that Libs & Progs may not want to (or be capable of) acknowledge.

This is a perfect illustration of the difference between proglodytes, and good and decent people.

Good and decent people donate to a cause we deem worthy; and the proglodytes wail, gnash their teeth, and try to block the donations from reaching the recipients.

Progodytes donate to a cause they deem worthy; and good and decent people don't care.

*Edited to add: Another difference, as noted above, is that good and decent people are much more generous with our own money; while proglodytes are notoriously stingy, unless the money comes from the wallets of good and decent people.
