1. The ads are not chosen by DU. They come in a bundle.
If you let the Administrators know about the truly offensive ones, they can get rid of them.
On edit: I see you have a star. The ads are supposed to disappear when you have that. Are you logged in?

And, once I log in they are gone. Just seems counterproductive. It is not the first time I have noticed right wing advertisements and it always makes me
to see the site desecrated by them.

5. Look at them this way: if you click on them, you cost them money. That helps DU.
Stay logged in and they won't bother you any more.
