Apparently, that live benefit concert was held in 2004. Bill Cowsill died in 2006 at age 58, basically of the consequences of his lifestyle in the first 4 or 5 decades of his life (I'm not being critical or "dancing on his grave", just summarizing the several health problems that lead to a rather early death). Sounds like he was quite talented, as a guitarist, singer, and producer.

I had to use a seearch engine to learn who he was, but I heard yesterday that another founding member of Lynyrd Skynyrd died in a car crash a couple of days ago.

That 1970s vintage TV show "The Partridge Family" with the original metrosexual David Cassidy was created with the Cowsills in mind.

I couldn't tell the difference between Cassidy and Donny Osmond. They were both putrid, Cassidy more so. Maybe that's why I began calling that show "The Putrid Family". Or maybe I stole it from this:
