When I was young the first three knots that I learned to tie was the bowline, the square knot, and the hangman's noose. I've tied more hangman's nooses than I can count because it is what I use to attach fish hooks to my fishing line. A hangman's noose is a fairly useful knot. Granted, the democrats did use it a lot for foul purposes after the war between the states.

Whites: 1,297
Blacks: 3,446

Before we go any further keep in mind that democrats basically controlled the south between 1882 and 1968.

Now let’s look at some of the democrat controlled states.

Alamaba
Whites: 48
Blacks: 299

Georgia
Whites: 39
Blacks 492

Mississippi
Whites: 42
Blacks: 539

South Caroline
Whites: 4
Blacks: 156

Notice a trend there? Democrats were lynching a bunch of black folks.

I read several news reports and none of them mention who found it and reported it.  The only picture of it was tweeted by a group called the DUke People of Color Caucus. Their picture is dated suspiciously early on their Tumbler account.
