Ted Cruz is Canadian
Cruz’s official Canadian birth certificate, as posted by the Dallas Morning News, shows that Rafael Edward Cruz was born in Calgary, Alberta, on December 22, 1970. Oddly, however, the birth was not registered until December 31, leaving an unexplained gap of nine days. But where was baby Ted over Christmas, an astute birther might ask. Donald Trump could build a casino in a hole that size. His mother would have to go to the American Embassy and file for his American citizenship. Where are those papers?

1. CRBA/Consular Report of Birth Abroad

Both of my kids were born out of the country. A CRBA is what the Embassy issued me after I processed the documents.
It, effectively, is a birth certificate.

That won't last long.

11. There are still unanswered questions around Ted's citizenship

1. All U.S. citizens are required to file Tax retunes no mater where they live were they filed by Ted's mom while she lived in Canada.

2. When did Ted receive conformation of his U.S. citizenship, just having one U.S. citizen as a parent does not automatically make someone a U.S. citizen, forms must be filled out and filed.

To give Ted a pass on these questions will not help, it may well turn out that every thing is in order but if all of the appropriate documentation is not available we must assume that Ted entered this country as a undocumented alien. All too often Democrats are afraid to put hard questions to Republicans and there actions, it is time that we hit hard with question and not fall back on "nothing to see hear move on". With all of the shit storm that will be coming at our candidate we need to raise question about anything we can of candidates on there side.

The is no requirement to file anything with the embassy. Citizenship is acquired at birth in such a case.

There was also some questions as to Obamamama's age and time in the US when she gave birth.

But all that aside, I don't like Obama because he doesn't like the US or any of its citizens.

I think he just renounced his Canadian Citizenship last month.

My "X" wife was born in Germany in 1947 to a U.S. serviceman and his English wife. She had German citizenship and British citizenship but not U.S. citizenship. Over the years as her family moved about all over the world due to her dads service, there were problems. She sometimes had to be left behind with friends until her paper work was worked out. We were married when she finally got U.S. citizenship.

DUmmies should quit fussing about Cruz's citizenship because citizenship doesn't mean anything any more, Obama has set the precedent.

You are correct, sir. The Constitution does not require it for Presidential eligibility, and the 4th Amendment specifically protects a person's papers.

That right there can be construed to provide a birth certificate.  Any government agency that requires proof of age and where you were born require a birth certificate.  I had to provide mine when I got my first driver's license and also when I joined the Navy. 

The federal government literally changed the name on my certificate of birth in the official records.

I am familiar with your citation   

It says nothing about releasing information to the public as a precondition to eligibility. There is a legal process to question the eligibility of a nominee, and it does not involve releasing 'birth info' to the public.

You, and I, provided birth certificates for driver licenses and enlistment because it was required by state law or Federal law or regulation. Neither of us were required to make iur information public.
