what is wrong with people...

On a crowded train on my way home from work I was sitting in those seats that face one another. Most of us regular commuters have a monthly ticket that we just display for the conductor, but one young woman sitting in this same group of seats handed the conductor her ticket. She had an off peak ticket so the conductor informed her that she would need to pay the extra $4 required to make the peak fare.

The young lady, from out of town as it turns out, said she had no cash but offered to pay with a credit card - the railroad doesn't take credit cards on the train. The woman conductor then said, and I quote, "IN THE BIGGEST CITY IN THE WORLD, WITH ATMs EVERYWHERE, YOU DON'T HAVE ANY CASH!?" I don't know why so many of the conductors behave this way, but there are quite a few that do.

I couldn't let it pass. I told the conductor "Don't speak to her like that, it's uncalled for." And then the conductor tells me "this is between her and me." To which I said, "no it's not you're being rude."

Another guy sitting with us gave the young lady the $4 to pay the additional fare and the conductor, butts in again and says, "I hope you take this man's address and repay him." Again, wtf, I couldn't let it go and expalianed, "now THAT is none of your business and is between HIM and HER." Not sure the conductor gave a ****, but...

I hate assholes... too many of them to count these days, it seems.

3. dang... that sucks

i never carry cash. i am the doofus sort when it comes to "foldin' money" and i have lost more than my share.

my retort might have been, "in this most technologically advanced society, YOU don't have a way of accepting credit cards???"

10. Proud of you and yes he/she was being an asshole. But

Working people everywhere are under such pressure, that while I would have hoped I would have done exactly what you did, what I would not do or never do is report working people to their supervisor (not saying you did, you are just giving me an opportunity to make this point) unless they are way way out of bounds.

I always tell people when I am pissed at something that it isnt their fault, they are just trying to earn a living.

But no excuse for this conductor to act this way, but given the stress we are ALL under as the 99%, I am surprised it isnt a whole lot worse
apres moi, le deluge

Milo Yiannopoulos "It has been obvious since 2016 that Trump carries an anointing of some kind. My American friends, are you so blind to reason, and deaf to Heaven? Can he do all this, and cannot get a crown? This man is your King. Coronate him, and watch every devil shriek, and every demon howl."

The bolded sounds true. Someone other than the DUmmie gave money to someone in need.
“Don’t vote for the person who tells you you deserve something. Just don’t do it if it’s something other than life, liberty, or the pursuit of possible happiness. If everyone is telling you you deserve something, vote for the one who is promising you the least. Be suspicious of the man or woman who tell you deserve everything. Because you don’t.” ---Mike Rowe

Probably someone that just wanted some peace and quiet and wanted the DUmmie to sit down and STFU.

In that situation I would have handed the conductor 4 bucks and let it go. Why raise a fuss? The conductor was only doing their job and following the rules established by democrat lawmakers.
