An apparently unarmed black teenager has been shot dead by a police officer at a Wisconsin home - just days after the release of a damning report into racial prejudice by cops in Ferguson, Missouri.
Tony Robinson, 19, who was suspected of a recent battery, was reportedly gunned down by the officer who had followed him into an apartment in Madison at around 6.30pm local time Friday.
A struggle had ensued in the seconds before the shooting, it is reported. The officer then performed CPR on Tony and the teen was rushed to hospital. However, he later succumbed to his injuries.
The killing, which sparked a mass protest outside the home, comes only two days after a Justice Department report revealed that seven racist emails had been sent by officials in Ferguson.
It also comes just hours before President Barack Obama will lead this weekend's 50th anniversary of 'Bloody Sunday', when police beat protesters marching from Selma, Alabama, to Montgomery.

The officer performed cpr on the guy he shot. Sounds like he really wanted to kill a black man that day......

Fighting police officers who are performing their duty is usually not conducive to a long lifespan. Not that black racists give a @#$% about such facts.

Unless evidence is found that changes that picture, good riddance!

BTW, Madison, WI is two states and hundreds of miles away from Ferguson, MO, but maybe the Brits at the Daily Mail are less than knowledgeable concerning US political and physical geography.

Sort of complicates the racist-cops-killing-young-black-men narrative, doesn't it.

I wonder how the narrative will morph if the officer - not pictured in the article - who shot the young adult turns out to be black or Hispanic ...

It would if there is independent evidence of it, otherwise it comes down to the cop's word that that is what happened, and if so that is going to carry no weight at all with the outrage crowd.  And even if that's exactly what happened, they still won't be satisfied.

If the officer did attempt CPR, there is a fairly high chance that it could be confirmed by autopsy findings. It's very easy to fracture rib(s) when doing the chest compressions. That said, if facts confirm the officer fired in self defense, those facts and the person(s) making those facts known will be racists and part of the racist-cops-killing-young-black-men conspiracy.
