Affordable care that isn’t affordable
« on: February 16, 2015, 02:28:40 PM »

Despite the president’s promises, health care costs are going up

Medicaid spending is up 23%!!! so far in 2015. And tens of thousands are facing the IRS over the program.

My personal feelings are that a whole lot of American voters who supported Obama and his Democrat toadies are going to be very sorry for doing so. And, they won't forget when 2016 comes.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The official sign-up season for President Barack Obama's health care law may be over, but leading congressional Democrats say millions of Americans facing new tax penalties deserve a second chance.

Three senior House members told The Associated Press that they plan to strongly urge the administration to grant a special sign-up opportunity for uninsured taxpayers who will be facing fines under the law for the first time this year.

The three are Michigan's Sander Levin, the ranking Democrat on the Ways and Means Committee, and Democratic Reps. Jim McDermott of Washington, and Lloyd Doggett of Texas. All worked to help steer Obama's law through rancorous congressional debates from 2009-2010.

The lawmakers say they are concerned that many of their constituents will find out about the penalties after it's already too late for them to sign up for coverage, since open enrollment ended Sunday.

That means they could wind up uninsured for another year, only to owe substantially higher fines in 2016. The fines are collected through the income tax system.

How the hell could anyone not know about the penalties and enroll periods?

This same thing happens to the dem constituency every time they listen to one of their so called leaders...they get royally screwed.
Along with real hard working tax paying Americans.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

The Muzzie in the W.H. convinced the liberals Congress critters that the ACA would be so great. Now, they are crying that Medicaid payments may be cut off. Maybe one or two actually read the entire bill. You reap what you sew suckers.

That's what happens when you pass something to find out what's in it.

Update on the costs of Obamacare.
First off, I imagine, that the health care companies, including AARP, are lovin' their profits.
Politico, a way leftie opinionated page outlet, does this article on "Experts see big price hikes for Obamacare?"
What would be the reason for Politico, enamored by the chosen one, to criticize his pride & joy?
Perhaps someone else knows.

Back to the article:

"The cost of Obamacare could rise for millions of Americans next year, with one insurer proposing a 50 percent hike in premiums, fueling the controversy about just how “affordable” the Affordable Care Act really is."

"...health insurance experts are predicting that premiums will rise more significantly in 2016 than in the first two years of Obamacare exchange coverage."

If its needed politically, I imagine King O will go out on the stump & tell his 47% constituents that prices would double what they're going up, if not for O-care.

Next up is the Supremes decision on King v. Burwell.  Will it be turncoat Roberts to the rescue again?  If the law is upheld this time as written, what difference will it make?  The republicrats already have an out.  & you thought they really wanted to defund O-care.

My one consolation is that liberals will be suffering as much of the rest of us.  Okay, it really doesn't make me feel that good.  Of is this how it goes to the progressive dream of single-payer?
