Marta had a bad day...

She stopped on the way to work to get doughnuts for her office. I talked to her over the phone as she walked out the bakery door.

A few moments later the phone rang. It was Marta. She was on the interstate. Her 09 Equinox had a problem. She was headed to the dealer. It was one of those engine light came on things. Later we learned it was a bad sensor.

So I drove to the dealership to pick her up. No big deal.

She left her company ID in the car back at the dealership. While signing in at the security desk at work she apparently dropped her drivers license. She thought somebody would call to say they found it. Not yet.

Other than going to our long time favorite restaurant since it is near her office, it was a bad day.

Several things were wrong with her SUV as we let little things pile up. Other than the $50 deductible on the extended warranty, it will be ready when the parts come in. I get to drive & pick her up tomorrow.

Perhaps dinner out Saturday night for Valentine's Day will make her feel better.

I dunno; perhaps the big guy doing some work around the house so that poor dear Marta doesn't have to do it, would help.

No way! No housework!

Haven't you heard?

No way! No housework!

I'll bet he sits around watching "the teevee" all day.

While the dirty dishes pile up in the sink, the beds remain unchanged, the laundry undone, the floors unswept, cobwebs accumulate in the corners, dust collects on every surface, the upholstery on the couch wears out and rips.

It's just like when the big guy was employed; "it's Marta's job, for when she gets home from work."

6. I left a company cell phone at a car dealership one time. I knew it had to be there. No problem I

said, I'll just call it. No answer. We had done a blood drive there the day before and by the time I realized it was missing, I was out of town on another drive. I called the phone a few more times, getting worried that someone that didn't work there may have grabbed it, still no answer.

As soon as I got back I went to the dealership to ask if anyone had found the phone. Yup. A girl had it right there at the front desk. I told her I'd tried calling it several times and she gave me this weird look and said, "I wasn't going to answer that." As if she was freaked out that someone she didn't know was calling, like it was her phone and one of those "unavailable" numbers. WTF difference could that make?

I was really pissed off at her but didn't dare say anything. I suppose it was my fault but c'mon! She had me freaked out for a whole day that I'd lost a company phone and she's just letting it ring right there at her desk!. Sheesh! What if that was one of their customers that was close to buying a new car?

If all he has to do is sit and watch the teevee while she works, why doesn't she drive herself in the second car, thus saving the gas from the two round trips neckbeard makes taking her to work and picking her up?

I thought these liberals liked the environment.
This too shall pass.

The house might run out of food that the big guy likes, during the day, and we can't have that.

What an a-hole.  I don't blame her for not answering someone else's phone.  That is how reasonable people treat OTHER PEOPLE'S PROPERTY.

The important thing is she kept it safe in anticipation the owner would return.

Not that it matters to this ingrate.

9. She has no idea she is getting a present at dinner

She was telling me not to buy her flowers this year for her office. I pointed out the 14th is a Saturday, so no flowers. Last year we sent each other flowers to our offices.

I don't get it, flowers can't be bought or delivered on a Saturday in Bellevue?  I think he just wanted to kick his post.

The Big Guy (who is dying) also wants the other DUmpmonkeys to know he paid the exorbitant premium for an extended manufacturer's warranty.

You would think that a godless democrat heathen staring into the cold, dark abyss of eternity would have other things on his mind.

Stingy bass turds. For every extended warranty they buy, they should be buying one for 10 homeless people.

Are any of the Dummies preparing tribute posts? Do they even care?

Doubt it.

This pathetic thread got eleven replies, four of which were from the Big Guy (who is dying) himself.

Marta's bad day started when she woke up and noticed the Weeper was still breathing.
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”
