Shocks and struts don't just "go kaput", they wear out over time, and you should have known something was wrong when your POS car kept bouncing down the road 2 miles past where you hit the bump.
Timing belts don't "slip", they "break", and depending on the make and model of your car, it could be a simple replacement, or a complete head, depending on how many valves made contact with the pistons. Timing belts are supposed to be replaced at regular intervals, just like filters and plugs. It's all in the owner's manual, that is, if you could READ, DUmbass.
