Burning people to death. Didn't Christians do that a few years back?
For being "witches" and whatnot?

And my own peeps, the Jews, had a few episodes way back that sound roughly in line with what ISIS is doing, e.g. Samuel 15:

"Thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘I have noted what Amalek did to Israel in opposing them on the way when they came up out of Egypt. Now go and strike Amalek and devote to destruction all that they have. Do not spare them, but kill both man and woman, child and infant, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.’ ”

No, I'm not saying that killing for the Lord is OK. Rather, I don't think that killing for the Lord is exclusive of any particular religion. In fact, I don't think it's part of any real religion; killing is killing, and some religious claptrap is sometimes used as an excuse, just as "God's will" is used to explain away all sorts of suffering and exploitation.

I prefer Abraham Lincoln's religion, it avoids this kind of suffering:

"When I do good, I feel good. When I do bad, I feel bad. That's my religion."
- Abraham Lincoln

Peace.

God these slugs are idiots.

1. Suspected witches were never burned in this country,

despite popular belief.

However, Queen Mary did a lot of nasty burning of Protestants (not witches) during her reign.

But that was more than "a few years back."

Yeah, but what do facts have to do with anything at the DUmp?

5. Yes in the 13th century

Which is why most of us would like the Muslim religion (extremists, excuse me), to move to the 21st century post haste.

the USA started creating them by the thousands beginning about 30 years ago.

The Iranian hostage situation was in 1979-1980.

I am willing to bet some of them follow other "faiths" as well. Our killers are hired without prejudice regarding what fairy tails they use to justify how what they do is holy and good.

Sometimes they even hit the odd one or two that are actually combatants used to justify the burnings along with the civilians.

so mindblowingly stupid that I cannot fathom why you'd do it.

Look around you and then ask yourself what should you expect.

A self-proclaimed Christian group with a (burning) cross as their symbol.

Second - which Christian scriptures have changed over the past 500 years?

Shut up Manny, you have already shown that a worm drying on a sunny sidewalk is smarter then you.

They show their evil more and more every day.

And what happened, Minimind Manny?
Saul DIDN'T do as God commanded, because he spared "the best of the sheep, and of the oxen, and of the fatlings, and the lambs, and all that was good, and wold not utterly destroy them, but every thing that was vile and refuse, that he utterly destroyed."  (Samuel 15:9)

As a result, Saul never became king of Israel, because he disobeyed the Lord.  God wanted everything destroyed, because it was unclean, and as such, would corrupt the people of Israel.

BTW, didn't the Romans lay waste to all the territory they concurred?  I seem to recall they would poison the wells and salt the earth as they left, so as to insure the land stayed barren.

What fantasy?  You don't believe there is a Heaven or a Hell?  Would you prefer to live life as if there IS a God, and find out that there isn't, or would you prefer to live life as if there is no God, and find out that He is?

Pascal's Wager set out to prove the existence of God thru logic, it goes something like this:

"If you believe in God, and there is no God, you've lost nothing."
"If you believe in God, and there is a God, you've gained everything."
"If you don't believe in god, and there is a God, you've lost everything."

second, what makes you think Barry is a christian?

First off, the KKK was a self-proclaimed DEMOCRAT group, regardless of what symbol they used.  ISIS could use a fuzzy kitten as their symbol, it wouldn't make them any less despised, or deadly.

Answer, none.  Many different translations have transpired over the years, but the scriptures (and their messages) have remained the same.

I can go kill someone in the Name of Joe Biden if I want.  Does that mean Joe Biden commanded me to do so or has even set a precedent by example of doing so?  No....

So lets look at the two religions and their Prophets and ask ourselves a few simple questions:

Did Jesus ever command or set a precedent by example of killing or violent acts?  No

Did Mohammed ever command or set a precedent by example of killing or violent acts?  Yes

Manny is the man.
With a little perseverance he could put himself in the running for the coveted DOTY.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

Manny's post fails because he failed to highlight the Crusades or the Inquisition.

He also failed to try and link Nazism to Christianity like other Dummies do.

Really, essentially it failed because the primitives are a bunch of sour-assed prissy self-righteous rectal apertures who don't have a sense of humor.

Damn, the primitives make Ebenezer Scrooge look jovial.
