While reviewing the Top DUmmies of 2014, one's disheartened to see that most of them seem to have tapered off in posting comments on Skins's island, thus depriving the DUmpster of much-needed comedy material.

Of course, the primitives' fear--which might, or might not, exist--of being laughed at, is itself laughable.  Skins's island is a great big huge behemoth compared with the DUmpster, a little tiny speck of the internet.

Now that's just crazy talk. 

From our POV, what would be the point of them posting more, if not to provide more ridiculous crap for us to, well, ridicule?  Oh, I suppose there is a small chance that a tiny few of the absolutely craziest things might receive mention on Limbaugh or something of the sort, but that would be counting the chickens before they were hatched.

With their projection and constant recriminations against anyone who does to them and theirs as they do, it's abundantly clear that very few of them have any measurable self-awareness.  The only thing that provides a check on their silliness is the threat of suspension or tombstoning by they own kind over squabbles within their own cliques.  Thus, there is no point in us sparing the lash.

I agree, but to be fair, I included that thought, in case someone else thinks differently.

My attitude about the primitives is governed by a comment of Lord Baring, a British colonial governor circa the 1920s: "the primitives need to feel the lash; one or two of them, it might change them into decent and civilized people, a few scores of them, it might make them half-decent, half-civilized.....but 99% of them need to feel the lash simply because they're ugly bestial brutes."

Not sure,for a long time they operated in a vacuum and we all know that despite how football bat ****ed up they are,they all think they are the "normal" ones.
More and more they are tipping over the edge and I think moles may at least equal if not out number the genuine primitives so for some they are doing the cockroach in sunlight thing.

The ones who lurk here?  I think it burns them deep.  To be so thoroughly trashed, most of the time hysterically, really eats at people like they are.  Wildly overblown sense of worth and intelligence, a HUGE sense of entitlement for nothing and a seriously deluded sense of reality.

I voted "yes, and it's a good thing". However, DUmmies have a dog eat dog mentality when I go to DU or see it posted here. Some of these DUmmies have a real obsession about being accepted, but they cannot like Nadin.

That right there's the problem.

Which is why USA4ME and franksolich have always thought the DUmpster should be a closed forum, available to registered members only.  That way, lurking primitives couldn't see what we were saying about them, and keep on shining.

The late Margaret Mead had the same problem with her subjects; once they noticed she was observing them, they changed their behavior.

However, that's not going to happen, the DUmpster being a closed forum, so those who wish it to remain public and open to all, can breathe easily.
