Minnesota man accused of taking dead mom's body to bank to withdraw $850

Police arrested David Vanzo for elderly neglect after they discovered his 90-year-old mom’s body covered in feces inside their home. Seven hours before Vanzo reported the woman dead, he took her to a Wells Fargo where he took out $850 in her name. Bank employees said the woman’s feet dragged underneath her wheelchair and she didn’t look like she was breathing. Vanzo was previously investigated for elder abuse and financial exploitation against his mom.

A Minnesota man might have wheeled his dead mom’s body into a bank to make a withdrawal in her name, witnesses said.

Plymouth police arrested David Vanzo for elderly neglect after they discovered Caryl Vanzo’s body covered in feces inside their home, KMSP reported.

While they investigated, cops discovered David Vanzo took his 90-year-old mom to the bank just seven hours before he reported her dead.

A neighbor watched David Vanzo put Caryl Vanzo into the taxi that took them to the Wells Fargo branch.

"I don't know if she was unconscious or not alive," the neighbor said.
