I have to wonder if these Cook County crooks know that Big Mo is the reigning DUmmy of the Year?

They probably wouldn't be so quick to harass her over weeds, trash, filth, rooster noise, rats, and junk if they realized they were dealing with a Top DUmmy.

If things don't work out, the DUmp will need to raise $3000 a day to cover the fines. No problem.

lawyer asked today- do we want to ask for a jury trial?

we will talk it over, but i have a sneaking suspicion that my fellow citizens would be a more likely to completely exonerate me than a judge.

my answer was only if we can combine all 3 complaints. when you see them laid end to end, they look faaaaar more ridiculous.
hmmmmmm.

i forgot to post that i received this summons several days ago. they are proposing $3000/day fines. and this is a judge at the daley center, not an administrative hearing officer.

we have an appearance on monday for the complaints against my home, which include the chickens. mostly asking for a continuance, so that we can get them combined.

will be ready to argue, tho. never know. might get a sympathetic judge.

looked it up and it said "service by publication".
iow, i was supposed to see it in the notices in the newspaper. sure, that could happen. then they get to say i am a no show and rule against me.
they are also asking for an injunction tho they dont say what it is they think i am going to do. get more chickens? i dunno.
attorney will file an appearance on monday, and drop a big pile of motions on them while he is at it.

"Service by publication" is usually the result of the person avoiding having the summons delivered to them.

In most towns with ordinances allowing chickens in residential areas, they ban roosters due to the noise nuisance.
