Day 39: Omaha Steve Death Watch. Drugs, dude...
« on: January 23, 2015, 10:04:17 AM »
The OS finally posts a topic that the DUmpmonkies can get behind- Drug possession. It seems the USSC is looking at a case from Nebraska about wait times a person can be detained during a traffic stop. This has to do with the use and availability of drug sniffing dogs. Of course the DUmpmonkies are against the waiting times... the use of dogs to sniff for drugs... and generally lawful behavior. I post this not for the OS OP but for this post:

4. I was detained on the side of I-70 in Utah for 45 minutes waiting for a drug dog.

Pulled over on a pretext: Changed lanes on a fairly empty interstate "without waiting two full seconds after turning on turn signals to change lanes."

Warning ticket issued.

Then interrogated about where I had been.

Then asked for permission to search my vehicle. No thank you.

"Am I free to go?"

"No, we're bringing a drug dog."

"Am I under arrest?"

"No."

"Am I free to go?"

"No."

WTF?!

Forty-five minutes later the drug dog arrives. I get busted for possession of a small amount of weed. Not jailed, but released. Had to go back to Utah weeks later to plead guilty. Cost me $1500 for a lawyer, $500 in fines, no jail time, but I had to fill out a stupid anti-drug coloring book, and my license to drive was suspended in Utah (only) for six months. No sweat on that count; I can find plenty of reasons to stay out of that shit hole of a state for six months.

I could have been the guy taking this to the Supreme Court. If I'd only had a few thousand more to pay for the appeals.

So............... guy gets pulled over for a traffic violation. I got no doubts the car reeked of weed. The ask for a search and get told no. The dogs arrive and they find weed. Dude doesn't get arrested but cited (less than an ounce in possession) and then bitches because he broke the law and got caught.

I got no doubt the retard had Colorado plates and pro-marijuana bumper stickers on his piece of shit car.

7. If it happens again counter them by asking them "Do you mind if I videotape you searching and post it on youtube for all to see?" before asking them if you are free to go.

I already had one guy ask me this. I tld him he could have a copy of my video tape if I could have a copy of his. He declined.

14. Do you mind saying what you think made them suspicious that you had weed? Do you think they smelt it? Whatever it was, that sucks and you have my sympathy.

I don't doubt they could smell it from the car. Dude was probably wearing a Legalize Dope t-shirt and a Bob Marley hat.

Most likely he is a well known dealer or runner so they had been watching for an opportunity to bust him.

Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

He might, might I say, get a sympathy card along with half a dozen pot seeds.....but that's about all he'll get.

I'm surprised the libs don't hate the DEA like they hate the CIA.
Their drug problems will be their undoing.
How they would love to separate the consequences of drug use from it's use.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.
