What are your plans for New Years Eve?
« on: December 30, 2014, 07:51:29 PM »
Me? I'm staying home. I work till 4, and will head straight home. I have snacks aplenty.
Last year marks the first year I didn't stay up late. But I will try to stay up till midnight at least.

Same as every year (including 2000).

Mrs. FD and I will retire around 8:00 PM and be asleep by 9:30 PM or so.

TCU bowl game in the morning.  Nap I hope in the afternoon, off to a friend's house for a party tomorrow night.  Comfortably ensconced safely & don't have to worry about driving.

Work followed by a night at home with a case of beer since I have the 1st off.

Downtown is a mess.  I'm not going there.

No plans...everyone that I know who is throwing a party never invite me so I'll be sitting at home watching the ball drop on tv.

Co-workers covered for me at Christmas, so I'm returning the favor tomorrow.

I have some clients who are physically unable to leave their homes.  I scheduled them all for tomorrow and am taking food and flowers to each.  We'll end up having fun and I'm looking forward to it.  They just suspect there will be treats and I hear there have been phone calls between them wondering what it will be.

Tonight, it's supposed to be above zero (Yay).  So I plan on taking a walk, having a toddy, and thanking the good Lord for another great year.

My wife and I will split a bottle of Martini and Rossi Asti Spumante to celebrate our 25th  anniversary and the New Year.   We'll spend the night watching DVDs. :old:

TGIF has a live band for New Years eve.
On the way home we drove by a replica wall street New Years crystal ball suspended from a crane !
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

We stayed home because there were so many fireworks that our dog, Darlene, was going nuts early in the day. By midnight she was just trembling. Her little buddy, Bella, generally isn't afraid of noise, but think she picked it up from Darlene, her not so fearless leader.

It was almost a non alcoholic celebration. We had what we thought was a nice bottle of sparkling wine, but it was awful. I think we had gotten it at Whole Foods, or else someone had given it to us. SR had a glass and a half, I couldn't even get down a half glass of the stuff, then we threw out the rest. Blech. It was too late to chill anything else. At least our snacks were good.
