It’s All Over, Obamacare Haters! Why They’ve Officially Lost The Battle

Obamacare is a load of crap.  You have to buy an approved high cost plan from the exchange to get the tax break. You could go directly to an insurance company and find a lower price that meets all the requirements, but no tax break that way.  It's a scam.

OTOH, there is still a major court challenge to the law and the tax breaks themselves. The law is worded such that the tax breaks are only available to those that sign up on "state" exchanges, nothing about the federal exchange. People will raise Holy Hell if they signed up on the fed exchange and don't get those tax breaks.

I looked at the site when shopping for insurance, but never logged in.  Never entered personal information.

Called an insurance company.  Signed up for a policy.  Didn't like the high deductible and high premium,  but that's what was available.  No questions about my income.

On my bill there is a tax credit.  I have no idea why. 

It sure is a scam, and the taxpayer, myself included, are the marks.

Sane people knew it was all BS and a lie and were eventually proved right.

I have no doubt that it will take Freedom of Information requests or even lawsuits to get the administration to reveal any real numbers here but hints of the truth will slip out via some of the major insurers.

Yeah, this lie of their's will flop. They're hoping a lot of people will see the media promote the 7 million figure and think "Oh, it must be working." But that won't fall in line with what's actually happening in people's lives. People will lose their doctors, they will be denied medicine they were receiving before under their old plan, all those pre-existing conditions will not be covered, and the list goes on and on and on. Word will get around.

Think of it this way: If you go to a restaurant and the food is good and you get great service, you'll tell some people about it, like maybe a few close friends if the topic comes up. If the food is good but you get lousy service, you'll tell a whole lot more people about how the food was OK but the service ruined the moment. If you get both bad food and bad service, you're going to tell everybody from family to friends to the stranger on the street.

This is no different.
