Coast to Coast is the DU of talk radio without the politics. Lot of plum freaking crazies on that show.
I Loved it, Coast to Coast, back when Art Bell hosted the show. If anything could cheer me up after a crazy hard day at work was this show. When Poor Art had his nervous breakdown after his son was molested they eased in George Norrie who did a good job but lacked Art's sense of humor.
One of my favorite shows was when the long distant truckers were invited to call in about seeing late night UFOs. Most of his call ins came in west of the Mississippi, as the time difference meant it was before midnight by a couple hours. Except for us night workers most folk were sound asleep by 11PM. in the East.
Hard to resist for me anyway to not call in after work and recount my experiences with an Alien from the Dog star and get on a roll of fantasy and what not.
Unfortunately, the call ins were way above my imagination and had stolen by telepathy my ideas, what with Astral Projection, out of body experiences while sleeping or perhaps the Evil that walks about prevented me from calling in
. What fun but in the back of my mind was the disturbing thought that my ancestors 175 years ago would have rolled over laughing at the idea they had germs on their skin. Where are they, we cannot see them.
BTW as an aside, I have read that in one year in England any or the wealthy that sent their wives to a hospital for child birth not a single mother or child survived. One whole year, yet the poor who birthed at home had a 90% survival rate for both mother and child.
A good program for those that enjoy dark humor of all kinds.
Yes I do jump with flight of ideas go off subject, I have no tunnel vision on any subject, all things are related to another and when we start speaking about the price of tea in China, my mind jumps to the Spice wars of Indonesia------Sorry.
