What is with the bitch about Walmart for these people ?
I have never been in a Walmart in any state that was not clean, wide isles and very helpful personal. I dislike Target in the south and up here, too disordered. K-Mart it is difficult to find anyone to help get something off a top rack.
So my Walmart funny. We took a piece of fabric to Sea's store and found the paint center unmanned. The store sent over some middle aged man from the auto section to help us, his first time at that station.
This unfortunate man had worked 10 years in the auto section and was very nervous about what we needed him for. I pulled out the fabric and told him we needed 2 gallons of paint in that color. We were standing there for over an hour as he fumbled about trying to figure out what colors to mix to get that color. Fortunately no one else came to his counter while we were there. The clerk was sweating bullets he was down to opening those small 3-4 oz cans for testing and mixing colors on a sheet of paper.
Finally we came close to the color we needed and now he had to calculate the perportion of each color per gallon. Bless his heart, he did his best and now had to figure out the mixing machine. How to set the timer and turn it on. It was only after we got the paint, he found under the counter the instructions on what percent of one color to add to another to get a match. As we left he was ashen and sweating up a storm.
At least he now knew how to mix paint in the future. I would love to have gotten him to the ladies department and asked for help with bras.
Yes the work at Walmart is not easy, however I assume the pay checks come on time, and as long as there is no union there is extra money in the check that would be deducted for union dues and they are not cheap.
Good honest work and at minimum wage will put bacon and bread on the table.
