A rattlesnake wrangler ?
I knew some insane men and boys that did this in the south. They captured rattlers and bagged them to sell to medical clinics that milked them for the venom to be turned into vaccines for those bitten and lucky to make it to the hospital in time.
Gets hair raising when a child is bit from a Pygmy rattler in FL. Off shoot or the family had a 8 year old girl bit and with the vaccine she still spent a week in the hospital.
Nads needs to go bear hunting and not with her camera. First visit China Town and find someone who is willing to buy the bears gall bladder. Take a cooler of dry ice with her and kill a bear. Time is of the essence, have to get that bear field stripped and the gallbladder on ice in 5-10 minutes.
Leave the bear for others to handle and race to China town where her client will pay her $800-1,200 for the goodie. The client will then ship to China where a good big one will bring in $3-5,000 on the market for medication for virility.
NOT everyone hunts for food or trophies, some hunt for money and make a living at it. Just have to find a market for what people are willing to pay for something unusual.
Say anyone remember the old sofas and chairs of the the 20's, they seemed to last forever as they were covered with Horse hide and hair. Remember the old time beaver coats and hats ?? Why is it our Arctic explorers and military have wolf fur around their hoods, It does not collect ice from the persons breath.
We have this trading post up here that at one time sold Moose hide moccasins. No outer sole and I wore them for close to 10 years and even when wet and dried still held up.
Lot's of reasons to hunt, for my 16th birthday I was given a pair of doe skin gloves, if one has never worn them then you have no idea of the feel of luxury warmth and dexterity they have. My very first boyfriend shot the deer in his back yard and I still have those gloves.
I have owned rabbit fur coats and jackets, I even bought a mink stole at Goodwill with the suckers heads still on them.
Living near Nashville I saw the boots made of snake hide cost a pretty penny. Now I wonder why Florida does not jump in the game with snake skin clothing, Lord knows they catch enough of those BIG snakes taking over.
