   :o  That's a hell of a drop!  That's not just a haircut!  First I'd heard; thanks.

Public employee unions really are a terrible idea.  The corruption, the money laundering, the powerplays.  There's just so much to go wrong.

I would love to see 99% or more of the union bosses in bread lines.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

It also means that the remaining members will have to pay more to keep the fatcat union boss's salaries at their high levels.  :fuelfire:

That's a huge financial loss for the Unions and the Democrats, the average membership is about $800, a loss of 35,000 is about 27 million dollars a year.

In case anyone from DU is playing with the dial on the radio, maybe put on Rush, he's going to talk about the Union problem in Wisconsin.

For the cubicle bound and gagged, will you tell us what he says?
"We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honor and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and then bid the geldings to be fruitful."

C.S. Lewis

A community may possess all the necessary moral qualifications, in so high a degree, as to be capable of self-government under the most adverse circumstances; while, on the other hand, another may be so sunk in ignorance and vice, as to be incapable of forming a conception of liberty, or of living, even when most favored by circumstances, under any other than an absolute and despotic government.

Got a feeling that the half suddenly discovered the do have a voice and a choice.
Good for them. :cheersmate:
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

Deval Patrick goes on MSNBC to stump for Obama, when Bain Capital comes up Patrick says this:

Quote
Appearing on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Thursday, Patrick called Bain “a perfectly fine company.”

“They have a role in the private economy, and I’ve got a lot of friends there,” Patrick added. “I think the Bain strategy has been distorted in some of the public discussions.”

Did they cut his mic and kick him off the set? I would be shocked if they didn't.

:lmao:

He just went through the implications of people given the choice and leaving the unions, and how this election will be a referendum on other states doing the same thing to be able to take their states back.

I didn't see the video of it, but I'm sure Newsbusters will have it at some point.

Artur Davis: 'Democratic Label No Longer Matches What I Know About My Country'

Quote
While I’ve gone to great lengths to keep this website a forum for ideas, and not a personal forum, I should say something about the various stories regarding my political future in Virginia, the state that has been my primary home since late December 2010. The short of it is this: I don’t know and am nowhere near deciding.  If I were to run, it would be as a Republican. And I am in the process of changing my voter registration from Alabama to Virginia, a development which likely does represent a closing of one chapter and perhaps the opening of another….

Democrat Commiteewoman Resigns from Party, Cites Her Catholic Faith

by Matthew Archbold Monday, May 28, 2012 8:49 PM

Quote
Jo Ann Nardelli has been a Catholic Democrat her entire life. Her father was one before her. And she couldn't imagine a day where that wouldn't be true.

But that day was Wednesday of last week.

I read a story about Jo Ann leaving the Democratic Party and was interested because she cited her Catholic faith as the reason.

So I gave her a call. I got her machine and as I was leaving a message she picked up. She said she'd been screening her calls because so many people have been calling to say nasty things to her or just pleading with her to change her mind. But when I called, saying I was with The National Catholic Register she picked up.

She said she figured I wouldn't be too mean to her.

Nardelli has been the focus of quite the firestorm in Pennsylvania because the thing is that Jo Ann Nardelli isn't just another Democratic committeewoman. She's the president and founder of the Blair County Federation of Democratic Women, she was Vice President of the PA State Women’s Caucus, and was 1st Vice President of the PA State Federation of Democratic Women (she had been in line for the presidency of that organization in 2014). She met with Hillary Clinton,  gave a rosary to Joe Biden, and appeared on the cover of US News and World Report going to Church with then Senate candidate Bob Casey Jr.
