who drives you to drink.
Just a thought on humility. This is one of the most difficult character traits to achieve, and also one of the most attractive. Sincere, self-deprecating humor is extremely charming. Anonymous charity is noble.
I had a good year once. I wrote a good size check to the church for the "something-or-other-und" in remembrance of my parents. The church list special gifts and by whom in the Sunday bulletin. Be it$5 or 5 million they just put your name and to what fund but not the amount. I wrote specific instructions on the envelope that I didn't want my donation or the amount printed in thew next Sundays Church bulletin. Well, they put my name and the amount in there. I was so damned embarrassed.

“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.†- Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948
"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within." Stalin
