I am glad you decided to contact your senator.
But do you mind a bit of constructive criticism? I think you should have used a more respectful tone. Your senator may be an ally; it would be a shame to alienate him with unduly harsh rhetoric.
BTW, did you know that Frank Solich lives in Nebraska?
Hi,
Thank you for your comments about Senator Nelson. I have no respect for the man. I wrote him and urged him to vote against the stimulus package. He voted for it. He then went on TV and said that 90% of the people who contacted his office were opposed to the plan, yet he voted for it. He then had the audacity to send out an email and outline all the virtues of the stimulus package. My response to him was Senator, in the words of Clark Gable, "Frankly I don't give a damn!" how you feel. This is supposed to be a representative government, we hired him to represent us and he is not doing his job. If 90% of the people who hired you are for or against a particular piece of legislation it is his job to represent us, not Pelosi, not BO, nor any other liberals personal agenda. He is hired by the citizens of the state of FL to represent us. Of course I got no response to that one.
No matter what the issue, one can email or write his office and you get the standard liberal moveondotorg answer. He is not listening to those who hired them. Any opinion of the sender, and I am also talking about many of my friends who write to him, has been totally ingored.
Any respect I may have had for the man is long gone. I am normally a respectful person for the reason you mentioned. There have been thousands of calls to Hannity, Beck and Limbaugh of folks voicing similar frustration to mine, our elected officials are not listening, they forget we are the boss, they work for us. At this point, I have decided to fight like liberals do, we have to get idiots like him out of office, and I plan to do whatever it takes to get it done......legally.
Hope that clarifies the situation,
