Given what she/he/it said, she/he/it hates life being trapped in this horrible body, and now the cat is no longer trapped in a horrible body, so she/he/it should be throwing a party in celebration of the cat's release into a better place without horrible bodies.

Her cat, seeing who it's owner was, decided not to exercise the option on one of her remaining 8 lives.  :lmao:
Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

I can't help but think in the days of asylums, she'd be a long term resident. What a waste. I'm sure behind the madness is a beautiful person.

There's a beautiful person buried inside every human being.

Decent and civilized people do their best to bring those things good and decent about themselves out to the surface.

Primitives Hate beauty, goodness, and decency, so they vigorously suppress theirs.

Pedro Picasso, for example, could be a Gift to Humanity, but no, he'd rather be an asshole.

Very well said, sir.

I tried to go on and expand on my agreement but I come off sounding like a damned hippie, not actual hippies but what I used to think Hippies were until I met the DU and found out how much hate real hippies have as compared to their stereotype counter parts.

Sadly, there is much truth in this.  Our pets absorb all our emotions, the good and the bad.  I had an aunt and uncle who engaged in alcoholism when I was a boy and they had this beautiful dog but the stress of living in that environment, and I only ever saw a shadow of the darkness of that lifestyle, brought it illness and an early death.

In the Philip K. Dick novel, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? androids are stand ins for sociopath humans and this part was stolen by the movie Network, Howard Beal's Humanoids,  but Dick makes the point that pets don't do well in an environment of emotionally stunted people.

The movie, Blade Runner, totally cocked up this point but is a fine movie on it's own.

.....makes the point that pets don't do well in an environment of emotionally stunted people.

That makes sense.

I can't imagine the horrors of being a pet owned by a primitive.

For the record, even though I'm not a cat person, the local veterinary has said many times publicly that the cats here are the most competent, most comfortable, most confident, cats he's seen in the whole county.

I suspect it has something to do with my not working out frustrations on them.

It's true. Pets mirror their owners. I guess you are the cat's meow Frank.... :-)

which is why i am visiting DU less and less... reading the crazy day after day is soul sucking.

UP has made the decision to lash out at the world around her, and so, we leave her alone, which only reinforces her belief that the world finds her unbearable. its a vicious cycle, but she's the only one in control of that.

I'm pretty sure that there is nothing but a howling, black, emptiness that will never be filled by anything.

But, then again, I clean my wounds with rubbing alcohol and salt.......... :-)
