Well, I just finished scanning some of the posts at the DU link. According to post 118 a publisher read her after reading some of her online rants, but she decided she didn't want to become marketed. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x3559235#3561914

*cough, cough*

Ahem.  :)

So, A transgendered panther and a black chicken walk into a bar, and order pineapple juice.

The bartender says, "Sorry we don't serve your kind here.."

The panther calls the bartender sexist. The chicken calls the bartender racist.

The bartender says "no, I'm not sexist or racist. Its just obvious to me that you and your imaginary chicken are already way over the limit."

I was approached by a publisher who liked my writing,
and offered me a book deal.I considered it,
I would have possibly made a decent amount
but I decided not to publish my writings in book form Why?
Because I wanted my thoughts to be SHARED.
I value walking my talk over
perpetuating the myth of property or copyright.
So I put my thoughts on the web. My art.
I wanted people to read it,copy it ,distribute it,
expand it,use it,share it, create different ideas with it,
and enjoy it
without MONEY or bullshit property theft
entering into the equation.

Oh, I enjoy it all right.  :rotf: :rotf:

I couldn't read it either, I just posted it.... :-)

Uh-huh.

When I was over on Skins's island, I read it.

Yes, I really read it.

The whole thing, I read it.

I read it all.

Then I decided, nah, I wasn't bringing it over here.

Sorry Frank..I just couldn't help myself.

PS #3: Last I heard, a panther was a predatory animal, a clever hunter, and a fearsome presence in the forest. Not a whiner, not a beggar who looks for someone to "grant it disability." But I could be wrong about panthers.

There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site

96. Yeah, yeah, you're a professional victim
It's what you MUST do because you are a self-proclaimed ARTIST.

All I get from your posts here is that you're a delicate little traumatized flower and everyone has been so awful to you, you can hardly bear it, and YET YOU MUST EXPRESS YOURSELF.

Well, guess what? Not all thoughts are worthy of expression. If you'd get out from behind that keyboard and venture into the real world, you might find that there are people who could use your help, people with problems like homelessness, hunger, sick children, sick parents, job losses, no income, no hope.

You can afford to sit and pretend you're an artist, but, alas, you are not. Because the first hallmark of an artist is courage, something you obviously are sorely lacking.

156. I'm going to try to be kind about this.
I think you're very disturbed, not playing with a full deck, and probably need either more or less medication than you are on. I don't know why you think this kind of insane rant has any value, but if you want to do it, that's your choice. Registering my opinion on the substance of your thread is my choice. I choose not to try to explain things to you, because frankly, I don't think you have the capacity for rational thought.

That thread is hilarious.  I've only made it about halfway down, but it looks like the GD DUmimies are getting a little tired of her.

Corporations yeah whatever. I like using my computer to automate things or at least make them easier and I'm not a corporation. I was making a point about technology's influence on medicine...for someone who condemns copyright as a form of egotism you're sure eager to re-interpret everything to echo own outlook. That's your right, though it makes me wonder how you can stand to use your corporately-manufactured computer.

68. Now now,
I'm sure the computer was hand-crafted by Hopi Indians that worked merely for the joy of creating a tool that UP would find useful. Of course they wouldn't expect anything so common as *money* in exchange for their hard work, but instead left it in a basket (woven by other Hopi Indians under similar conditions) on UP's front doorstep.

81. I was thinking something along those lines
or perhaps it's just some sort of reverse ouija board. If I was enlightened enough I would have the spiritual power to build one and use the internet with no electricity, as well as being untraceable by the evil corporations and the NWO.

I can say unequivocally that no publisher in America would pay you for your writings, which are so bad there aren't words to describe how bad your writing really is.

Burn!!!!!! Wow. I am really surprised they let UP stay. Even the primitives think she's too insane.

That "intricate" leatherwork she posted pictures of is what they call "highly specific". In other words, it has no mass appeal. At least the shop owner was truthful.

And this bugs me to no end: why can't UP use the damned space bar on her keyboard? She's a writer after all.....  :fuelfire:

Oh and her bragging about being "published" and providing those links?? It's like saying you're published when all you've done is scrawl on a truck stop bathroom wall. Puleez.

And don't read that crap unless you take a sharp stake, a crucifix and some clorox.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

Im impressed with the all out assault on UP - even bibaby is getting some smacks in - I expected that all of the gay police would stay clear of this mess.

I think its a sign of how odd DU is getting - continuing election tension has kept the loony factions on attack mode, even against their own.

I read the entire thread over at DU. ( Not the original posters screeds though.) People like this Underground Panther are amazing. It leaches off of others but feels superior to people who make their own way in this world and actually derides them! Every post is ME! ME! ME!
