When I buy toilet paper and paper towels, I make sure it's from the Koch brothers. As for coke, I buy what's on sale or the Publix brand.

Whenever I make a purchase, I research carefully in order to buy from companies that club baby seals and kill furry cute animals.  :-)

Will have to start doing that.

I club them myself and use the softest bunch of furry animals to wipe my butt....but lately there seems to be a shortage of stray cats around here.

Agreed.  I paid little attention to the ad.  Why are their feathers all ruffled up?

I don't drink soda anymore, but when I did, I preferred Pepsi over Coke.  Not sure why that was.

I think the coke was too sweet and not fizzy enough.

I checked, I have shares of Coke, hope they run more ads like that so I can make more money off of the liberals!

Liberals are the ones that should be boycotting Coke products.  Think about it.

The Coke commercial has all these different nationalities singing praise to the United States of America.  They are in effect, glorifying the uniqueness and greatness of the US over their home countries.

American Exceptionalism at it's best!!

Good Lord, you people on DU are such witless tools.

And Skippy is supposed to be a "smart" DUmmie.  Come to think of it, "smart DUmmie" kind of has the same oxymoronic ring to it as "trained alligator" or "obama - Constitutional Scholar".
"We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honor and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and then bid the geldings to be fruitful."

A community may possess all the necessary moral qualifications, in so high a degree, as to be capable of self-government under the most adverse circumstances; while, on the other hand, another may be so sunk in ignorance and vice, as to be incapable of forming a conception of liberty, or of living, even when most favored by circumstances, under any other than an absolute and despotic government.

Uh huh.

Which proves my assertion that an "average" mind that's open absorbs more wisdom, more understanding, than a "brilliant" mind that's closed.

Really, Skippy should be ashamed of himself, having such a gift but then not using it.

I don't drink much soda, but when I do it's A&W Cream Soda as my first choice, and Coca-Cola second.  I have never cared for Pepsi or RC.

The MSM once again has placed outrage on conservatives for the Coke ad. NOONE I follow on Twitter was outraged over the ad (I could have missed one or two, though). All of the conservative Twitter accounts I follow didn't have a problem with the ad...and I didn't either. But check out the Google search results.

Have any of you heard outrage from other conservatives over this? Did I miss something?

When Harry Truman was President of the United States, he had a sign on his desk in the White House that said: "The buck stops here." If Barack Obama had a sign on his desk, it would say: "The buck stops with Bush." - Thomas Sowell

I haven't heard any outrage and no one here has expressed that opinion.

Lately I've been getting most of my political news off the tv and haven't seen anything.

I didn't see any outrage on twitter either, just some liberals saying that conservatives were outraged by the ad.

Congratulations, DUmbasses. You fell right into the clutches of the corporatist 1%ers at Coke. The commercial was designed for one thing, and one thing only - to sell you a product. And like any good sheep you went straight out and bought it on the strength of a single feel-good ad.

You're a capitalist's dream.

I'm pretty sure I saw something on Breitbart about Allen West being upset about it.  Other than that, haven't really heard anything other than liberals claiming that conservatives were outraged.

I barely noticed the damn commercial, nor did I think there was anything wrong with it.  Ditto the Cheerios multi-racial family one.  Nothing wrong with either.  Just liberals planting the proverbial "false flag" operation, IMHO.

On face book I posted that Coca-Cola was anti-Irish.

Well, they're stomping Hell out of the strawmen they set up themselves.  Not having a lot of effect on either Coca-Cola or Conservatives, though.
