BUT_BUT_BUT- Perhaps the father has apologised to his girlfriend and baby? Every one makes mistakes under stress you know. Could be he was doped up at the time and FORGOT she and child were with him.
"But Lovie you know I would never have left you had I not been on drugs, remember when we were smoking and YOU left the kid in the bath tub, the kid could have drowned had not our dealer gone to piss and found them in time. No fair you to blame me for doing the same thing, forgetting the baby."
Now to the girlfriend, can she read and write, Is she so ugly this is the only man she can get in her life ??
Actually this scenario goes on and on today. Some one said that actually taking the baby out at midnight to watch a movie was better then if they had left the baby alone at home. Not so sure here unless they lived next door to Jimmy.
