You know, I long wondered why, aside from the obvious reasons, the Ted Kennedy incident always bothered me. As I waded through their stupid rationalizations just now(ie he didn't know how to get someone out of the car) it finally hit me! I had two friends go over a canal in their car back in the late 80's. High school girls and the one driving was newly licensed. She misjudged the length of the road and was going way too fast. The road curves sharply at the entrance to the Marina(Black Point Marina). In they went.

BOTH girls hit their heads and it was pitch black outside. One friend got out and came to the top. She assumed at first Adrienne was going to do the same in the panic. She did not see her. B swam to the shore and pulled herself out of the canal(a feat down in Florida where the banks can be steep).

Now, back in those days, there wasn't much around the marina. It was 2 or 3 miles of the same road they just road in on. My friend B didn't know how to get our friend out either and she really didn't know if Ad was still down there. It was nighttime after all. But, B walked as many of those miles back as it took and found the first house and had police respond to the car as quickly as she could(this was pre-cellphone days too folks).

Adrienne did not make it. She had a head injury that had knocked her out and eventually took in water. She was able to be rescuscitated but had essentially lost brain function by that point. Her family got their daughter for several hours from what I understand to say goodbye. The point is if a SIXTEEN year old girl can do the right thing, even injured, then so can a drunk grown man.

Her friend is on my friend's list still on facebook. The one who bravely walked back to get help with a head injury. She served, btw, honorably in the military following all of this.

Adrienne has a youth center named in her honor at the same Episcopal church that we heard her eulogy at and her family were members of. RIP friend. Sweetest, goofiest, lovable girl ever. I miss her!

I hate the dummies, I really hate them.

Ted Kennedy is a liberal, so he gets a free pass for killing someone. Now if Ted Kennedy was a republican, what he did would have been an abomination. Does anyone else see the double standard?

And Ted Kennedy getting elected proves that even a murderer can get elected, as long as they have a D after their name.

When the Herman Cain stuff started popping up, I like many others thought that maybe it came from the Romney campaign, but watching what is happening to Romney now, makes me suspect that the democrats were behind that as well. They destroyed Cain, and now they hope to destroy Romney. I can almost guarantee that they are sitting on something now, waiting to have it broadcast right before the election.

Yep Chimpy's DUI all over again. I hope the Romney campaign recalls that, and if there is even a ticket for jaywalking in his past will release it well before then.

I have got to go back an reread the newspapers of that time and how they reported the ACCIDENT----If it was an Accident in the first place.  ???????

WHY did Mary Jo's family refuse to allow an autopsy on her body ?????    I wonder what the heck ever happen to her family in the years since then.

Why was she out riding about with Ted while a party was going on, everyone knew the last ferry of the day had left hours ago.

If we forget the strange story Ted told about what he did after the accident and just look at what happend before the incident, more questions come to mind about what the back story was.

How many woman/men were at this party, after all these years has there been no [ tell all books ] written by at least one of the party goers that has at least some titillating gossip, or innuendos of misconduct of Some Kind.

Now that all the important players in that real life drama are dead, few left to sue any writer that insinuates monkey business, where are the Crime Historians not churning out books by the cart load.????

My suspicions are that  Mary Jo had to go.    1#  she knew something that was a danger to the Kennedy family 2#
that she may have been pregnant from a family member of the Kennedy's.   3# she may have been in charge of Bobby's social calendar and known about his womanising and was looking to use that information to further her carear.  We have no information on if Mary Jo was ambitious, or a former call girl. No idea what her role was in her job.  No idea how she really got her place in the Kennedy operations or why Teddy himself would drive her himself instead of having his flunkey's do so.

We do not know if Mary Jo was drunk or drugged that night, we don't even know if she was alive when the car went into the water.    We do not know if Teddy was in fact the driver of the car or even on the Island at that time.  

Questions from the past, will we ever know ????
