I mean, he had the "audacity" to ask them to send him to Wisconsin, and for free football tickets...as it states at www.electstevedawes.com.

I wouldn't be surprised to find out the Socialist scammed the DUmmies, after all fools and their money are soon parted.

I wonder what Socialist Steve did with the money the DUmmies sent?

The Nebraska football Spring game was on,which later was cancelled due to the severe weather here and Jimmy Buffett Was here in town for a one night performance. Either one of these probably kept the man of the people from going to the caucus.

I still think that somewhere along the line, the big guy went bawling to professional Democrats about how he was being "picked on," and what he could do about it.

And at first the professional Democrats thought, yeah, the friends of the big guy must be real meanies, but before they could advise and counsel him what to do about it, they had to first check it out to see what it is, www.electstevedawes.com.

Then after finding out it was all the big guy's own creation, the professional Democrats gave up on the big guy.

And hence the big guy's sullen silence.

But I don't think one has to pay admission to attend a caucus in Nebraska, or be an official in the party.

I think they're pretty much wide-open affairs, where anybody can go.

Isn't this how the 0bamaites took Iowa four years ago, bringing in all these non-Iowans to their caucuses?

So there should be no reason the big guy didn't show up at the Sarpy County Democrat caucus--especially not since he would've had that photo-op, Bob Kerrey with the big guy wearing a stupid costume. 

Like the moon borrowing its radiance from the sun, the big guy doesn't miss any chance for a photo-op.

But no report from the big guy about the caucus?

(For the record, franksolich thinks caucuses are stupid.  Best to simply have closed primaries, where one can vote only on candidates of one's own party--this was once a liberal idea.  One wonders what happened.)

Sarpy County Caucus at Bellevue University

Sarpy County Democrats will facilitate their second Presidential Preference Caucus on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Check-in will begin at 1:00 p.m. The event will take place at the following locations, based on attendees Legislative Districts:
 
LD 2 & LD 49: Plattview High School Located at 14801 S. 108th St. in Springfield, Nebraska.
 LD 14: Papillion La Vista High School Located at 402 E. Centennial Rd. in Papillion, Nebraska.
 LD 3 & LD 45: Bellevue University Located at 1000 Galvin Road South, Bellevue, Nebraska.
 
The caucuses are the front lines of grassroots politics in Sarpy County. Attendees will meet area candidates, gleam information about the upcoming County and State Convention and use this momentum to propel Democrats to victory in 2012.
 
Participants must be registered Democrats or complete registration on site, subject to election commission validation. For people with disabilities, those in the military, students attending out-state colleges/universities or those who will be prohibited from participating on a Saturday due to religious practices, a preference card may be requested no later than March 26, 2012 from the Sarpy County Caucus Chair. However, the card must be returned no later than April 1, 2012 and those participating via preference card will not have the opportunity for realignment since it is considered an absentee ballot.
 
“It is our priority to share this information with Sarpy County Democrats,” states County Caucus Chair Charlene Ligon. “The April 1st deadline is especially important for those who cannot attend but need a preference card for participation.” “We want to give every Sarpy County Democrat the chance to participate.” Interested parties can contact the Sarpy County Caucus Chair, Charlene Ligon at (402) 884-5053 to learn more about participation or to request a preference card. They are also encouraged to attend the monthly Sarpy County Democrat meeting held the third Wednesday of each month at the Papillion Shadow Lake Hy-Vee located at 11650 S. 73rd Street at 7:00 p.m.

Caucuses are a joke.

This wasn't a caucus--it happened circa 1993, at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln--but it's amazing how "open" political meetings are in Nebraska.  This was when a bunch of college Democrats had a meeting to elect new officers.....and they proceeded to select a college Republican as their president.

It was hilarious, but I don't remember the outcome of it, other than that the Democrats as usual displayed no, absolutely no, sense of humor about it.
