I think its time for a new therapist....again

I got put on "probation" ****ing probation.....for missing too many sessions....appareantly being in the hospital, almost dying, and horrible infections are not reason enough to miss. At one point my rash was so bad I couldn't put any clothes on without pain, and had to lie in bed naked....she says I should have found a way to make it. Today I went, despite horrible allergies ( brought an entire box of Kleenex) and back pain that makes it hard to breathe ( because of the rash and how sensitve it has made my skin, I still can not wear a bra and it is causing major problems for my back) I"m just so pissed, if anyone should understand illness, it should be a doctor, and, in my opinion, especially a therapist whom I talk to all the time about my ailments and how they effect me. Am I over reacting....or is it time for a new tdoc?

9. thank you. I needed to hear that. She made me feel like a hypochondiac, or some crazy person who claims to be sick, her actions make me feel unvalidated and that is not right.

i typically leave the mental issues alone.. but this one was posted in the lounge over there.. and she/he admits she has a flaky way of handling her life. *everyone* around her/him tells them this.. but, its the therapists fault?  :whatever:

That creates mental images darker then even the very bowels of hell have yet to contemplate.

i think its pretty sad when you've burned thru everyone you know in real life and are forced to ask your 'friends' online what they think of your mental health evaluator..

Court ordered therapy can be brutal.  The client doesn't set the rules.  But they still try.

Looks like it is a good therapist who told this person exactly what they needed to hear....honestly...and saw right through their bullshit.

That DUmmie is so entrenched in victimhood, and they got called on it....it's nnneeeevvveerrrr their fault, and they are "sick" all the time too <sniff> <sniff>.

Here's a novel idea DUmmie, if you are court ordered to go see a therapist and you really ARE chronically sick, go get a DOCTOR'S note from your physician saying as much in order for your stories to be credible.  That would be asking way too much, because it involves taking responsibility for yourself, and it also takes away from the attention you crave from the therapist, "Oh, you POOR thing, I hope you get better!" Yeah, right...you are being court ordered to see a therapist for a reason.

maybe its the insurance company? I could see why they dont want to keep paying for services she isnt using.

i dont know what the answer is for a person like this, but youre right. the victimhood is deep in this one and when she thinks someone with no pain called her out, she found out that other people do indeed live their lives without bitching constantly.

Translation: My therapist is NOT telling me what I want to hear. I had a small red spot on my arm and didn't feel like going to my therapist...she's NOT coddling me and blaming everyone else for my problems and you KNOW I'm not responsible for my situation. Sooo...I didn't bother to call and tell her I wouldn't be there, I just went to the emergency room. They refused to admit me. I mean, this rash could've been anything...sure it's gone now, but it could've been ARM CANCER! Now I have to invent a new fricking disease whenever I get pissed at my therapist and don't want to go. SHE says I'm perfectly healthy and need to stop feeling sorry for myself and get a life...bitch!

6. Bottom line....
If you missed the sessions because you were ill, she is wrong to do this to you. It is disrespectful to you.

I needed to hear that. She made me feel like a hypochondiac, or some crazy person who claims to be sick, her actions make me feel invalidated and that is not right.

The therapist should take awya her internet access to the DUmp.

Someone once said that going to the DUmp for mental advice is like having AA meetings in a bar.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Gotta be court ordered therapy. No therapist you were seeing on your own would say that.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

Whenever I see the word "therapist" I think of the SNL Jeopardy! skit:
