Is it possible that Name Removed has finally reached the point where it is the top poster over everyone else combined at DU and as such has now dominated the DB to destabilize it?

It looks like someone (most likely an admin accessing the database directly) managed to delete the thread -- however, looking at the CPD post, the exploit has not been plugged.
