Of course a dummie would equate our military with that of NK, Saddam, etc. They have no moral foundation, unable to see the difference.

That's what leapt out at me first as illustrating how both idiotic and, especially, ignorant these fools are. Our military was always separate from and subordinate to the civilian power. Combined with our army/navy's birth in a struggle for independence, naturally the culture of our military turned out completely different from that of a country where the military is one with the "civilian" power--and was created only to suppress the people, not free them from a foreign tyrant and keep them free.

(Israel's military was born more closely analogously to our own than pretty much any other country's--probably another reason for the diseases minds of the DU to hate Israel.)

History simply isn't ever considered by these shitheads; they think every country is the same as every other, as if history played no part in shaping them to be what they are today.
