It's the cheering crowds in these stories that always make me burst out laughing.  Aren't they embarrassed to even be typing that out?   I blush on their behalf.

It actually doesn't matter which type of grocery store, bouncies "happen" in any of them.  There have been dozens, if not hundreds over the years.

Remember it has to be in the check out line too..not in an aisle.

Many have even happened in Walmart of all places.
Well, okay, but if it's a WalMart you have to start the bouncy with an explanation of why, just this one time, you were forced to go into a WalMart.

No doubt.

The DUmmy that is the subject of this thread didn't follow the script though. He forgot the obligatory "So here I was."

Maybe so, but the absence of cheering onlookers is a serious flaw. Onlookers are always supposed to cheer.

And Fox News playing in the background.

My personal favorites always seem to be the gas station/convenience store bouncies that always seem to crop up this time of year.

Speaking of which, when're they gonna start showing up?  Are't they a bit overdue?

I'm holding out hope for an atheist soup kitchen bouncy. Such as:

So I was doing some work with the local atheist soup kitchen today when a fundy repuke walked in wearing a FOXNews T-shirt and carrying a Bible...

They seem to propagate during an election year. They're coming. 2010. The year of the bouncies.

If the lie had included in the story where the contractor had bribed the mayor and the building inspector with a sweetheart realestate deal at, say, Red Hook, St. Thomas so the bribe could not be traced, that would at least, have given it some credibility.

At the DU, does anyone call these liars on their flights of fancy?

Not just "no," but "no expletive-deleted way."  It's against their genetic code.

Wait, I think one bouncy got called out.  It was a while ago, but I think somebody said, "yeah right" to someone's tale.  Or how about when Greenbriar told her story about the girl in her class who would have like to be Pam's slave?  They all piled on her then, would that count?

I just love the bouncing Obama head.  It reminds me of post-French Revolution.

Maybe I need to start putting together a collectors' set.  Sort of like the three bouncing heads from the animated movie "Spirited Away":

greenbriar gets called out once in a while. I think the last one was her "my student wants me to be her slave owner" story.

So they are the necessary reflection of Obama's narcissism These people are self deluded, do zero critical thinking, engage in fantesy reinforcement of their own fantesy world? So they are as dangerous, yet pathetic, as they can possibly be.
