2. hubby is at work... kid doesn't take suttle hints just wants acceptance and probably has it much better here than at home

but I hate to hurt his feelings

but I am tired of him being here

KID???? Didn't she say this "kid" was 35????????

Only a DUmbass could consider a 35 year old a kid! Kick the bastard out and tell him to get a job! Then perhaps he could move out of his mom's basement!

It wasn't her kid... IIRC, greenbriar has a daughter.  This "kid" was the mentally challenged relative of her husband that helped fix the car.

Dear DU,  My aunt is pickled again.  I offered to come out and fix her worthless cars for free because I feel sorry for her.  She has several mental problems and mixing them with alcohol and massive quantities of prescription drugs doesn't help at all.  I didn't drive here today because I didn't want to ruin my BMW on the rutty driveway that leads to House De'Hades.  I swear if the town saw the inside of this place they would bomb it from 2 miles away just to try and sterilize it enough to raze.  Aunty was supposed to drive me home today.  Instead she started gulping down Red Rose wine at 8:40 and hasn't stopped.  I will be calling a taxi soon, if they will actually drive out to this dump.  My uncle is in town at the doctor getting some more medicine.  It seems every time they come back from a cruise his man parts get infected with some weird foreign form of VD.  Poor guy would put a gun in his mouth if it weren't for the fact that his darling daughter needs one competent parent.  Just remember DU there are always two sides to every story and if the story is coming out of Greenbriar's mouth/head it is usually a lie.

Don't you be talking about my grandma, she was just in the wrong place for a lady of her deportment.

So, she was being deported?

I may have miss under stood Crockspot mention of Poncho Villa.

Some time in 1918 she was in Deming New Mexico teaching school.  She married out there and in 8 months was sent home to Maine, as in the words of the day were, she was SHOWING.

Her husband my grandfather stayed behind to fight the war with Mexico. I assume she was deported back to Maine as teachers were not allowed to expose themselves to children when in a delicate condition.

Sloppy seconds were unknown at that time for woman of breeding and education, it was only the woman who got the short end of the stick that would have any knowledge of such things.
