I am done with this site. I won’t post neither will I lurk. Nor will I ever give anymore money to DU. I have been thinking this for a while, but today was the final straw.

In reference to a thread titled “Valerie Jarrett is a Muslim Ape?” And an OP that read
That's about what you can expect from a Trump a supporter.

I responded by saying she was a Muslim Ape Black Christian Atheist Terrorist born in Kenya and left the sarcasm smilie off because I thought it would be obvious to the smart people on DU. Boy was I wrong, someone reported my message and a jury found me guilty. My post was deleted as promoting right wing propaganda. I like the DU reporting system, but this was ridiculous. People on here have become too sensitive and quite frankly, “assholes.” This Trump Presidency has put me in a sour mood and I thought I could find solace here with like minded people , but I actually find myself more pissed off and hating you people as much as I hate Trump. I will probably be a happier person not coming here dozens of times a day.

Not much else to bring over, but worth noting that on the rare occasion when a DUmpass is honest, he spells the story they deny vehemently every day...  they are hateful bastards, every last one of them.

I see this as failures to understand the medium and venue. DU is a nest of jealous, back-biting narcissists. More broadly, things like sarcasm and irony are often communicated by voice tones. Such subtleties of expression are easily missed by people skimming text.

It's really a good idea to get to know the primitives behind the primitive comments, the actual personality saying the words.
