Des Moines poll was bullshit!

http://elections.huffingtonpost.com/pollster/polls/garin-hart-yang-d-braley-21276?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter

New reliable poll has it tied.

Yesterdays Des moines poll had it tied. The pollster said the race was decided. I think the poster is an asshole and should shut the hell up.

Pardon my language but this stuff pisses me off.

"Reliable" poll.  We'll get to that in a minute, but first a word from some more primitives:

4. and of course, RCP still has the outlier as the most recent poll

Then a primtive checks in with its take on the DMR poll from yesterday:

6. Nate Silver gives Selzer an A+ and says it is one of the most accurate in the country.

8. Based on what?

You can't just dismiss polls because you don't like the result.

11. based on every poll that came out at the same time is different form this one.

^^^^^That there is some retarded logic.

13. I agree it is likely to be an outlier.

But that does not necessarily make it "bullshit." Nate Silver talks up this pollster as very credible, so that is something to consider.

15. Nate Silver is right that she is a good pollster but she got it wrong.

So, you might be asking yourself what poll the primitive is referring to as being the "correct" poll?  Let's look:

Quote
DES MOINES | Bruce Braley's campaign says internal polling shows a tied race for Iowa's open U.S. Senate seat.

Polling by Garin Hart Yang Research Group, which serves Democratic Congressional candidates, shows Braley and Joni Ernst tied at 47 percent, the Braley campaign said Wednesday.

I'm cautiously optimistic.  Won't go further than that until after 9 pm on Tuesday.

Yeah, I've been in a holding pattern during this election.  I'm not getting excited about anything.

Not to be a wet blanket or anything, but even if the Republicans take the senate and hold the house,it still means we have McConnell and Boehner as leaders.  Yes they are better than Reid and Pelosi, but they are both a far cry from being even moderately conservative.

Exactly.  Winning may be no better than losing, especially with Obama and the other two stooges running things.

At the worst, we retain the House, and have another couple of years of gridlock.

At the best, we gain the Senate, and have another couple of years of gridlock.

The icing on the shit cake for us here is to watch the meltdown of the primitives, if the better scenario plays out.

I moved to a new state congressional district.  At least I get to look forward to having Darren Jernigan go home on Tuesday.

I voted against Old Baldy again, but I don't think Bob Ries has a chance.

With any luck a wave of republicans being elected will bring a wave of DUmmie breakdowns.

Yeah. I'm with you, Thundley.

What gets me is that if the Repubs take the Senate and McConnell is elected Leader. it won't matter what the do or what they say, the MSM will barbecue them regardless.

Might as well govern as real conservatives.

I really want the Senate to have some control over SC nominees.  Ruth Buzzi could kick any time and I'm certain that if the (D)Marxists maintain control, she'll retire, turn into a bat and die.

hrmjustin seems to have reading comprehension issues.

The 'New' poll he refers to was taken between 10/25-10/27, whereas the "old' Des Moines Register poll was taken between 10/28-10/31.

I'm with you on this.  Seen too many of these elections go sideways.  And like others are saying, even if we get both houses, I don't see much happening. Boehner on McConnell could sell us out too.

The first order of business if the GOP wins the senate and keeps the house is to put a bill one owebuma's desk repealing owebumacare.

Gridlock is the BEST of all possible situations to find the Congress.

Mitch has been soaking in it for 30 years. Career Politician or career politician or a cop....hmmm.... the choices shouldn't be this stark.

There are a minimum of 20,000 laws on the federal books. The best possible situation would be to winnow that number down to size.
