Worried about my boyfriend
He recently moved to the DC area to be closer to me and to his daughter who lives there. He just started a brand-new job and apparently there is some of the usual new-job bullshit he has to deal with. It's been two weeks of training and meetings and a lot of nonsense that is starting to wear him down a little.
I don't even think that's the real issue. Once he gets into his actual job, it should be okay.
The other problem (and a bigger one) is that is currently living in his daughter's basement and miserable. He shares his bed with his young grandson (who is about 3), because the house is full.

Hard to know where to start on this one from a disfunctional family point of view. The main point, from Alarmer's perspective is that her boyfriend would rather sleep in a urine soaked bed than in hers.
I am looking for a job and eventually he and I will live together, but in the meantime I don't know what to tell him.
Not enough room in Momma alarmers basement? What about the attic?

1. Too few facts to enable me to be helpful,
but I hope he finds something better.
What great insights you have elleng.

5. Be the sounding board
for your bf if you must, but stay out of the family situation - don't even offer opinions/solutions. When it comes to family, an outsider will always be an outsider!
In alarmer's case, a way outsider!

It doesn't sound like he's getting off to a good start with new job, either.

Are you ****ing serious??? It's a job!!! Me thinks the primitives BF has probably not worked in awhile and would rather be living off of our tax dollars.

 I know, right?

DUmmies don't do stress well. That's usually a requirement for most jobs, if not life in general. Don't know when I never had stress caused by a demanding boss, time schedules, unexpected events, etc.

Are we sure that alarimer is a she? (Not that it matters . . .)

Isn't this the same guy that's trying to kill her? These DUmmies all look the same to me.

You are both ****ed up if you don`t see a problem with that.

Alarimer is a fish biologist up in the northeast. She's even been published.
I ran her down once but it seemed inconsequential. She was easy to home in on because she flaps online alot...not just on DU.
Using Google maps I stood outside of her apartment, seemed like a nice place...the neighborhood and all.

In the OP she states that she is looking for a job. Not to imply that she isn't working now.

I do stand corrected, she was in North Carolina working for NCDENR.

Since Alarmier is a biologist, she must certainly realize that a basement is a primitive's natural habitat. She should just leave her B/F where he can thrive.

Of course, for chronically unemployed (D)Ummies, this equals:
