I have absolutely had it with the Gay movement. I am so mad right now I really can't even write a good rant.
Here is the story:
http://abcnews.go.com/Business/mozilla-ceo-resigns-calif-gay-marriage-ban-campaign/story?id=23181711
Mozilla co-founder CEO Brendan Eich, who came under fire this week for donating to a campaign to ban gay marriage in California, has resigned.
Eich, who became the CEO of the nonprofit company behind Mozilla Firefox on March 24, had donated $1,000 for the successful Proposition 8 ballot measure that passed in the November 2008 state election.
This guy is literally one of original programmers from Netscape, helped found Mozilla, and helped create Java Script. He is a pioneer in the programming and web industry and because he donated money to the Anti-Gay Marriage prop in Cali is forced to resign? It's eventually going to get to a point where Christians and Conservatives will not be able to be CEO's of these large corporations and if they are they better be closet ones. Absolutely ridiculous. I am furious.

Just another scalp for them to wave around.

I don't understand how 2-5% of the population can have so much control. Their buying power wouldn't amount to crap. Are we all just that afraid of the bull dykes. I mean I live in VT, there's some pretty scary looking ones here.

The squeaky wheel gets the grease as my mother used to say. IMO, it's because we have lost the will to fight. It's like Barack winning a second term, we should have never lost but unless the candidate is perfect 35-45% of the conservatives stay home. The Christians don't believe in fighting, and they would never fight as dirty as the gay liberals so they lost by default. They also have so much control over the media and education systems we are bastardized if we speak against them, we are the bigots when by very definition they are the bigoted ones. It's out of ****ing control.
-
They should go after the guy who said this and make him step down:
I believe that marriage is the union between a man and a woman. Now, for me as a Christian ... it is also a sacred union. God's in the mix.
I wonder if Brendan Eich was given the chance to evolve his views?

The decades of tearing down the pioneering spirit, the rugged individualism, the spiritual, mental, and physical courage it took to make it through really tough times is now at hand. Sensitivity is now beaten into the culture. Tolerance is beaten into the culture. Not being offensive is most highly valued in our society, at all costs. If something is worth having, it's worth working and fighting for is part of the past.

You have no rights unless they fall in line with the turd-burglars.
They ought to be felched with a pissed off badger.

Meanwhile a nun in North Carolina got in trouble cause she told Catholic students that homosexuality was wrong. Obama's America.

There were 7 million "MILLION" californians that voted (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/California_Proposition_8_(2008)) for Prop 8. I guess there are a crap load of people in California that need to loose their jobs, be protested against, ridiculed, called bigots, and whatever other things the "correct" crowd feels they need to do.
I guess that if you feel gay marriage is bad, global warming is not real, 3rd trimester abortions are wrong, the second amendment is dated and should be repealed, you do not deserve a job and sure as hell do not deserve to own or run a business.
Good think I live in fly over country where crap like this is somewhat limited.
-
Amazingly enough, it is entirely due to the fact that Eich made a $1,000 donation to the campaign urging a ‘yes’ vote on California’s Proposition 8. When this fact first came to light in 2012, after the Internal Revenue Service leaked a copy of the National Organization for Marriage’s 2008 tax return to a gay-advocacy group....
First Things (http://www.firstthings.com/web-exclusives/2014/04/mozilla-mo-problems)
Surprise.
-
When J.C. Penny went gay, their stock tanked.
-
So when Eich made this donation, both he and Obama shared the same views on homosexual marriage. I'm sure the pink calls for impeachment will come any minute now.

They get the least consideration, and the most abuse by libs.

I have uninstalled Firefox from all my devices and replaced it with Chrome.

You don't want to be gay in the hood. I almost got stuck on a murder trial in L. A. with those special circumstances.

They don't look too kindly to gays.

I agree, what happened with Mr. Eich is maddening. However, I think it has been demonstrated that when Christian Conservatives push back, they can come out on top.
To wit...Phil Robertson and A&E's suspension of him. He stood his ground, the fans backed him up and he was reinstated. These pro-gay/leftist/anti-God groups are used to getting their way. They think all they have to do is yell "I'm offended" and the whole country falls in line and gives them their way.
The lesson I get is that we on the Right need to stop giving in and keeping our mouths shut. We need to get vocal and push back and refuse to roll over for these groups who just want to control everybody else.

You'd think buckets of astroglide would've stopped that by now.

The statement I heard from Mozilla (on the news) was the most mealy-mouthed, gasbaggy, PC-drenched drivel I've ever heard.
I've uninstalled Firefox. This was clearly a violation of Mr. Eich's first amendment rights. He expressed his opinion with $1,000. I'd take them to court just on the principal of the thing.

Just finished UN-installing Firefox and will be installing Opera soon on my laptop. If that works out then my desktop is next followed by my work computers.
It's not diversity it's perversity.

Yes, but how? How do you plan on getting your voice heard over the special interests? This has been going on for years and not just with the gay agenda. We're also called racists, we're accused of having a war on women and that we hate poor people.
Conservatives do a terrible job against the commies and I'm mostly disappointed in our clergy for allowing the left to marginalize Christianity.

Dori, I just wish that when one of these groups attack someone like Mr. Eich that he would just refuse to give them their way. Conservatives would have stood behind him, given the chance. It looks like he just caved and didn't even try to put up a fight.

Gays have been successful marketers, that's basically it and been able to convince an awful lot of the rest of the country that any disagreement with them is somehow hatred. You think people would have the good sense from their own life experiences to know that people can disagree with how they live their lives and not hate them, but apparently we are just that emotionally and intellectually dense as a society now that it escapes a lot of folks.
-
Well, he resigned. So there isn't much he can do unless he can prove that he was forced to resign.
I read that he was either the founder or one of the founders of the company so I would think that he still owns a good sized chunk of the company. He probably still has a lot of juice there even if he's not the CEO. If he is still an owner, I think he should go after the author of this tweet:

Sydney Moyer @sydneymoyer
I'm an employee of @mozilla and cannot reconcile having @BrendanEich as CEO with our org's culture & mission. Brendan, please step down
If it were me I'd tell her that I'm still an owner of Mozilla and I'm not retreating any farther than the resignation as CEO and if Sydney can't reconcile having me as an owner then she can clean out her desk and get the hell off my property. He's already a pariah with the fascist left so there's not much else they can do to him. What are they going to do, take away his birthday?

Well they are a non-profit tax exempt corp or something like that. A 501(c)(3) so I doubt he has any shares. Their net revenue last year was only 21.5 Million. They basically get all their funding from donations and 98% of their revenue from Google for setting them as their homepage.

Well then, I guess that the nobody Sydney Moyer gets to stay and Brendan Eich is out.

It would be sweet revenge to see Eich create a new product that blows homozilla out of the water.

Mozilla blow-back?
Ben Shapiro of Truth Revolt is blocking any web traffic from Firefox to their site for forcing the Mozilla CEO out for donating to prop 8 and is calling for other sites to do the same in protest.
He says that all tactics are on the table and that he wants to establish mutually assured destruction. The fact that they get to use this tactic to destroy peoples lives and destroy their businesses, they need to be held accountable.
He also said that we are being taken down the road to government enforcing these politically correct rules and that we have to stop it in it's tracks. More Americans need to fight back by exercising their own market power, if other Americans are exercising their market power by destroying others because of their political beliefs, then it's our obligation to go after the companies that participate in that.

I have to agree Gina, those that go against the majority need to adapt their own rules and regulations.
There is no way anyone can going against culture or religion to adapt the ideas of those they fight.
Why do Gays wear a wedding band on their left hand, why do as the Heterosexuals. Why try to imitate the heterosexual in life style. They are not the same so why all this crap of trying to fit in with people.
This is a life style on to their own, time to get their own life style that is not from the heterosexual life style-----

Sydney Moyer @sydneymoyer
I'm an employee of @mozilla and cannot reconcile having @BrendanEich as CEO with our org's culture & mission. Brendan, please step down
I went to the Mozilla site (http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/mission/) and found this as their stated mission:
Our mission is to promote openness, innovation & opportunity on the Web.
At Mozilla, we’re a global community of technologists, thinkers and builders working together to keep the Internet alive and accessible, so people worldwide can be informed contributors and creators of the Web. We believe this act of human collaboration across an open platform is essential to individual growth and our collective future.
I then went on to read their manifesto (http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/about/manifesto/) and see a lot of talk about making the web open to all people but found nothing in either their mission statement nor their manifesto that says you have to be down with the ghey if you wanted to be a part of the organization.
It appears that Sydney moyer is playing fast and loose with his vision of what Mozilla stands for.

Hypocrites and assholes...
OkCupid's CEO Donated to an Anti-Gay Campaign Once, Too (http://www.motherjones.com/mojo/2014/04/okcupid-ceo-donate-anti-gay-firefox)
OkCupid's co-founder and CEO Sam Yagan once donated to an anti-gay candidate. (Yagan is also CEO of Match.com.) Specifically, Yagan donated $500 to Rep. Chris Cannon (R-Utah) in 2004, reports Uncrunched. During his time as congressman from 1997 to 2009, Cannon voted for a constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage, against a ban on sexual-orientation based job discrimination, and for prohibition of gay adoptions.

I think this is exactly why they use their tactics the way they do. They want us to be so worn down we no longer have the will to fight. The Tea Party seriously scared them, including establishment RINOs. Look at how they reacted. And it worked. We backed off. They never would have because the squeaky wheel does get the grease. We don't have to turn into whiny, pissy little babies. Angry adults would be more effective.
We have to decide from the beginning to not chose a RINO. Primaries are where WE have the power. The last presidential primary there was so much infighting Romney won by default. We all have our priorities to the point where we aren't willing to look at the whole candidate. The result is a candidate who shares almost none of our political values and goals. And we throw our own under the bus. Always.
Look at what happened to Herman Cain & Rick Perry. Either would've been a better president than the boy king. Perry was "stupid". And we were distracted by a rock, or something. Cain, despite decades of executive experience, was unqualified. Then there was the whole allowing the liberal media to turn him into some Mandingo stereotype. Even if he didn't pass the litmus test of every single conservative primary voter, can't we EVER stand up for a decent, good man? Every accuser had huge holes in her story but could we circle the wagons? Both his wife and Dr. Aveda King were going to stand at his side. That's quite an endorsement.
Heck, one of the best political arguments for Cain, they couldn't play the race card. Imagine if WE finally played their game? They revealed their own sick racist nature. Even after Cain stepped down we should've kept pounding. This is a war. If there were real bullets flying at us, we'd adjust our tactics to whatever level we needed to win. And it has to be us because our so-called leaders have become too paranoid to fight. I'm not even sure they want the responsibility of being the majority party.
And this is the one area where the party's establishment shows excellent political acumen. They know us. They know we'll ignore the RINO in the room because we're too busy fighting amongst ourselves because no one candidate EVER can be all things to all people. They are POLITICIANS. We won't lose influence when they get into office unless we let them. The democrat base always hold their leaders' feet to the fire when they stray from the agenda. So, the last man standing, who by this time has exhausted most of his resources then has to fight against the endless pockets of the establishment. Is there anyone who doubts the RINOs spend their time digging up and using dirt on the other candidates. Rush always says the left will show us who they fear. Well so does our establishment. All the people we've allowed the elites (no matter the party) to destroy! Yes I said WE ALLOWED because we know the tactics to employ to save their reputations, we see it every single day on the other side. For crap sakes, we even start to buy into it. Sarah Palin is a stupid hick! Herman Cain has no POLITICAL experience (as if there's no politics in corporations) and can't keep it in his pants, etc. Both would've been better than 0bama or the RINO whose turn it was. The latter would've sold us down the river sooner rather than later. Palin & Cain are experts at choosing people who are experts in vital areas.
If we're not careful we'll do it again this time. Paul and Cruz have a decent shot. Paul is libertarian enough to attract some groups we need to make inroads with. He's a Christian and pro life but thinks we should cool it on some social issues. Instead of seeing for smart political strategy, people come unglued when you try to talk about it. The majority of the country is pro life & pro DOMA. Despite this, the left has gotten very good at exploiting social issues and convincing the masses that we're haters. So wouldn't a good strategy be to not give them a chance. A simple "we have too many other issues affecting hurting Americans to get into things that won't help them..."
It's why I hope Scott Walker runs. He's already been put through the left's political machine. We need someone like that so we won't be "forced" to circle the wagons and defend our own.

I agree. I always said this, a Christian is not necessarily conservative. There are many liberal Christians out there. I am also weary of linking religion and politics.

People did a lot of things in the name of Christianity that were not within the scope of proper Christian behavior. When Christianity became the state religion of Rome it became an avenue of power for people who had no desire to be Christian or to submit their lives to Jesus Christ. That avenue stayed intact long after the fall of Rome due to the influence the Roman way exerted on the European people it conquered. Because of that true Christianity is saddled with a lot of baggage that in reality it shouldn't be connected to.
BTW, Onward Christian Solder's find is basis in Paul remarks to the Ephesians in Ephesians 6:10-18

I like Walker too. The problem with elections today, is that neither side can win without the Independents. You have to have a broad appeal in order to win them over and in today's climate, I don't think that conservatives will ever get the candidate they want.

I also like Walker. As far as I'm concerned, he's the "stalking horse" in 2016.
The thing is, the independents like things uncomplicated, IMO. Guess what Big Government has done? Thoroughly complicated things. When things were/are simple, the people flourish. Not all of them, mind you--the lazy fall by the wayside and make shitty art in Tuscon (art that my six-year-old daughter could do better). They then bitch and moan about how 'unfair' the system is. Guess what? Life is unfair. It's how we respond to it that defines us. Pulling up stakes and moving almost a thousand miles to chase a 'boyfriend' isn't an adult response to life's situations that you can't deal with. Staying and trying to change yourself so that you can better deal with whatever life happens--that's an adult response. I would hope that a lot of independents think that way as well--you know, the ones that the Dems marginalize in 'flyover country.'
Sorry I got on that rant. The second cup of coffee is kicking in.
-
^I, for one...like your rants.
