As of Thursday, I am now an Artist!
That's right! I am now starting to make paintings, poetry, stories, jewelry! It is a special program that I have started that I work in a studio and I get 80% of what the items sell for. I am also going to do their Drama shop as well and they are looking at trying to help me get a new camera!
I was accepted on Thursday! I am celebreating! Oh, I still have my other part time job too!
Yes, LFR is living the American Dream. On our dime.
-
There is no way a place could supply the raw materials for such and only take 20% of revenue.
It is either an outright lie (most likely) or a heavily subsidized program for the mentally ill/retarded (almost as likely).
-
80% of next to nothing is . . . pretty much nothing.
-
"Celebreating"? ???
-
"Celebreating"? ???
That's when you get drunk and dine well off of other people's money.
-
"Celebreating"? ???
Sometimes DUmmies forget to breathe when they get so tied up in celebrating. Celebreating. (the e is silent)

I am now starting to make paintings, poetry, stories, jewelry.
Artist, poet, writer, jeweler.
She is to all those things as nadin is to journalism.

3. Welcome to the club!
Club? What club is that? Artists? More likely a club of mooching welfare queens.

.....a heavily subsidized ["make work"] program for the mentally ill/retarded.....
I'll bet that's what it is.
Anybody here ever have Play-Dough as a child (I didn't)?
Was that stuff expensive, or cheap?

It cost enough that people came up with home made recipes for the stuff.

I guess boiling coffee beans wasn't paying out. Time for a change of scenery.
-
Bullshit! Unless it's one of those special "craft rooms" like the ones UGP used to frequent.

That's my guess. Makework places, where mentally retarded people paint ceramic figurines, make pottery, or glue Popsicle sticks together into little models of Monticello. Gift shop in the front, sweat shop in the back, and a Handi-Bus stop right out front.

Somebody tried to explain the concept of a consignment store to her, and she didn't quite get it.

When she went on bragging about her new, furnished digs and her coffee house job, I was fairly certain she landed in some sort of halfway house. If she is now also in some sort of subsidized art program as well, I am almost certain she is now a ward of the city of Tucson*. She may not be incarcerated, but she is on a very short leash.
* may also be a wart on the ass of Tucson, I have yet to confirm that.

Amber has a place and wants a cat. Someone needs to send underground panther a bus ticket to Tucson.

But what if she wants a female cat?

Does anybody know what ever happened to Chief White Cloud?
Crushed? In jail? Huggin' and chalkin'?

It is a special program
Notice how she left out basket weaving.

She ran out of imagination and fantasy.

I would imagine that in the next few weeks Amber, with her new camera, will be posting pictures of her artwork. I cannot wait.
And then there is her poetry. Speaking for myself, I live for the day that Amber posts snippits of her prose for our reading pleasure.

It could be entertaining. The happiest person at the DUmp will be the CalPig. She'll no longer be the world's worst poet.
And Amber will be posting some great photos from The Cheap Rig.

This sounds like fun, find someone that makes the balloon animals.
Cover them with torn up newspapers and a paste made from flour, water and some school glue. Let dry a week or so then paint, and/ or cover them with cheap modeling clay. Take small needle and prick the balloons inside and then bake at 225 for 20 minutes or less.
Cool then paint-------Girl Scouts back in 1960 project.
Sounds like she may be on her way to becoming a Scout Leader, now onward to carving ivory soap into ducks.

We have a place like that in our town. I'm not sure what they make, but there's no gift shop. For all I know, they heave the production into a dumpster out back at the end of the day. I know they take daily field trips to the post office to get the mail, and they make a big to-do about it.
I cannot wait for the poetry.

Hopefully the bolded is sarcasm . . . :runaway:

Allow me to help LFR in her new occupation.
The White Cloud
Last night I dreamed that I was walking on a white cloud. Whence came the daybreak, I discovered that the cloud had done gone. On further investigation I realized that the cloud was walking on me. I need help.

A member in good standing in "The Artsy Fartsy Club" where anything you do is considered art.

Great, more mass produced piss Christ masquerading as art.

I have a cat to send her... My daughter's cat. She has come to live with us and brought this... monster. It is unlike any cat I have ever seen in my life. It talks. Incessantly. It screams this noise I have never heard in my life even more. It purposefully jumps on cabinets and clears them, shattering everything onto the floor. We moved it to the warehouse thinking it would do better there. It rips open master packs and empties the contents. Seriously. This cat needs a brick put around its neck and cast into the sea, but I don't want to be cruel; so we put up with it. I shall soon be as bald as gNads from tearing my hair out because of it.
Anybody have this bitch's address? Maybe she should adopt it. Or would that be more cruel than the brick?

I don't know, it's not a poem unless it includes "blink, blink, blink, blink".

With locations in Cochise, Maricopa, La Paz, Pinal, Pima, and Yuma Counties, the PSA Art Awakenings downtown Phoenix Studio serves the largest number of artists in comparison to its sister studios in Bisbee, Casa Grande, Douglas, NW Phoenix (formerly Glendale), Tempe, Tucson, Parker, Quartzsite, and Yuma.

If this is correct, then it fully confirms my belief. LFR is just an overdoes of pineapple juice away from deciding she is actually a male cat.

Yeah,my guess is that AZ has tossed her into a looney bin of sorts.

Oh look..that studio is closed on March 31st--Cesar Chavez Day. Bunch of libs of course, easily duped by the lazy as always or even more sinister, look for more useful idiots to recruit to the 'cause'. :whatever:

Yeah..they talk, all the time they talk, more often then not for no discernible reason. And it's not just cute little meows... oh no...it's more like yowls.
She takes a deep breath and starts howling and about halfway through she puts in maximum effort. This is also while running like a madcat around the house. Heck this cat can stand at the base of the refrigerator and without taking a step can boing right to the top.
This is Zoey...

8. I have something on the isel right now.
It is taking a little Time since I am combining one of my poems with it. The poem will be part of the painting.
Sight and sound. Poetry in motion. A treat for both the eyes and the imagination. Somewhere, in an obscure art studio in AZ, there is poetry on the pad and a canvas on the isel.
Of course the public will have to wait as these things take time, cannot be rushed.
-
From the Program....."The Studios provide a safe, supportive environment for adults and children to foster exploration and development of artistic skills. Participants’ distinct talents are acknowledged from the start, with each being referred to as an “artist†".

As a kid, I stepped in quite a few cow patties....barefooted....I was an artist but my mother stunted my artistic nature.
Hey, some of the "ART" I've seen didn't look half as good as my shitty foot print on the back porch step.
-
So, you can be rehabilitated from being stupid?
I hope not. It would destroy the DUmp.

She could always borrow somebody's Aching Seed to spice things up. She may be seeding White Cloud.
