Can someone explain a quick question to me on the Affordable act?
I'm moving to NC and am looking on the policy rates
I found one where it will cost $395 a month and my premium payment would be $79 a month
It says it has a deductible of $5500 a year.
It also said that my copay for prescriptions after the deductible is meet will be 20% cost of generic prescriptions .
Does this mean if I don't have to see a doctor I still have to spend $5500 at the pharmacy for my prescriptions before I can
use the plan?

1. I can't imagine prescriptions fall under the deductible.
I've had insurance, and that never happened. I doubt it.
Haven't used my insurance yet, but I have it. Yay, me!

2. I hope you are right
I should have tried to copy and paste what it said.
It sounded like it did because it said after deductible is meet in the prescription block of the quote it gave me.
It seems like you can't get the whole plan to read it until you buy it.

And they have pages of posts. I went over there to see what it was and had to buy brain bleach to clean up. Nasty, twisted stuff.

Yes it means that you have to spend $5500 out of pocket in a year before you get to pay 40% of the bill. My policy does not count prescriptions toward the deductible. My prescriptions vary every year due to the negotiated price per drug. Luckily I really only have it for antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, and the occasional pain med. I think that is because I eat so much meat.

Which is it, noob?

It is getting a $316/month $3792/year welfare subsidy on our dime for insurance that is generally unusable with that deductible.
Yet these are the morons that claimed catastrophic and affordable policies were "junk" because they would not buy it birth control pills.

I hope this one comes back AFTER it tries to use the insurance. :-)

I find it funny they still insist on using the word "affordable" when referring to this steaming turd.

It should be named the expensive care act, based on most of what I've read & heard.

More like the "We Don't Cover Much" care act.
It's all good ....for DUmmies. A few years from now, or sooner probably, they will say, "Oh, the deductible is to high. We need to lower it and up the premiums.....it's for the children.....that weren't aborted."

In addition, I don't see where "care" comes into play either. The only thing that is truthful about the "Affordable Care Act" is the word "act"...as in "nothing but an act."

2,200+ pages of legislation, 22,000+ pages of regulations, and this DUmbass wants a "quick" answer!
:lmao: :rotf: :rotf: :lmao:
That's some funny shit right there!!!

Haven't you heard? Every story about obozocare casing pain or grief is a lie!

They have moved on from that meme now... not necessarily the dummies mind you, the paid posters on the political websites is what I am talking about. The new meme is it was originally a conservative idea, implemented by Romney. I chuckle that the dummies are the last to get their marching orders. You gotta be pretty low on the dem totem pole when you don't even get notified of the new meme.
I'm just curious though... why don't the dummies sign up to be paid posters on the political websites? C'mon dummies... do your part! Got to be pretty sad when even the liberal dem machine don't want to pay your ass to post the current liberal tripe.

He/sh/it will most likely be relocating to the Raleigh or Charlotte areas. He/sh/it will fit right in there.

I've been looking at new mega-SUVs. Ay, caramba!!
I'd like for the jug-eared muslim to pass the Affordable Car Act.
This country will be broken if there ever comes a time when a normal civilized person can't buy an Escalade.
If the government can give Amber Hoyt a free apartment, it can front me a new Land Cruiser.
