Title: DUmmy Dennis The Menace Mourning Houseplants
Post by: GOBUCKS on September 26, 2013, 12:31:04 PM
Another dramatic mental health crisis for Dennis:

This is a strange thing to post in the MH forum, but I have an emotional issue over:
getting rid of some plants I don't need and no longer have time to really take care of.

I haven't been taking proper care of them for over a year, since my little "adventure" of 2012. And, I really for the most part have lost interest. I'm just a different guy than I was, and I will never be the same again.

I don't need them taking up time and space, especially if I'm going to just ignore and abuse them.

I am also having a hard time thinking about "saying goodbye" -- some I've had for many years.

My plan is to pick out a few of the most special ones and keep those. The rest, adios.

Will I be strong enough to do it?

Houseplant abuse is a terrible epidemic. Just look at those innocent leaves.

Good Lord, pour a cup of bleach in each pot and that will take care of them.  If you really want to do the world a "HUGE" favor pick out the most poisonous one and eat all the leaves.

I, personally, would pay to see a reality show with this DUmmy and LocoNuts sharing an apartment.

These people are even allowed to vote.

Dennis, Loconuts, Amber, Taverner - DUmmy membership in the many thousands, and they all get to vote.

Damn!

I wouldn't take that bet with 100-to-1 odds. Amber had difficulty making sure money that was in a cash register till didn't up and walk away. :thatsright:

It would only have to be a one-bedroom apartment - they're always slobbering over each other when they post pity-whoring threads in the Lounge...

No way - he said he's had some for years, would have been stripped bare by now.

Not if ya know how to do it. Some of these indoor grow guys have a perpetual crop. If they used their expertise in cloning to make a living, they could prolly become a law abiding citizen. Oh, yeah, can't do that! A little conservatism might rub off on 'em!

Okay, question.

Why did Dennis the Menace delete his original post?

Maybe his feelings were hurt?

I will admit that I was bummed when my cilantro plant died, but that was because I liked having fresh cilantro in my kitchen.

1. Oh, my dear Denninmi.

Only you can decide if you're strong enough...

But I suspect you are.

I think your plan is a good one: keep the most special, and find homes for the rest.

Well, for his 'hurt feelings,' the 'meds' come in sizes measured in these things called 'grains.'

230 grains is a popular prescription size.

I will admit that I was bummed when my cilantro plant died, but that was because I liked having fresh cilantro in my kitchen.

Cilantro doesn't live very long.  I replant it two/three times a year outside in a big barrel.  I let mine flower and go to seed.  I like to harvest the seeds to plant or use as coriander.  You can also use the roots.  They have even a stronger flavor.
