The Girl Scouts of the USA are struggling to deal with fiscal woes, falling membership rates, a pension plan with a $347 million deficit, and tensions at headquarters.

A lot of Girl Scouts joined the American Heritage Girls and they now have 20k members.

While it saddens me that scouting has changed so much (kids and I were girl scouts and I was a leader), I am very glad people are not supporting them any longer.

The new president of the GSA is just awful, and they've turned the entire organization into a left-wing fundraising operation rather than a scouting group. Who wants their little girl to hawk overpriced cookies all year just to pay some old lesbian's pension?
